  Nice amd Small and well maintained Railway Station. You cn get trains heading to Puththalam - Colombo. This is a main station on this Costal-railway route.

  The station and the staff are okay.
  
  Nothing to mention much good things about the station.
  
  Recently, I noticed that many commuters had to wait in the long line to get their tickets even the space is not enough to accommodate for the people. They open ticket counters just few minutes prior to the train arrival.
  
  Commuters must take a ticket to reach to platform. In this scenario, it is better to open the counters early during rush hours.

  One of the main railway station in Sri Lanka and connecting Colombo - Puttalam coastal line, you can get cheapest rate Tuk Tuk and bus service for Colombo-Puttalam main road and Negombo Bus stand any time.

  main railway station in Negombo its easy to go to beach and Negombo hotels from this station if we came from Colombo better to get down here for tuk tuk to go to Negombo beach hotels

  One of the main stations on the Chilaw Railway Line. All trains goes beyond Negombo stop here. One more thing to highlight here. The ticket counters are closed most of the time and commuters have to stay in the enclosed section because they are not allowed to go to the platform without tickets. What I feel is the ticket counters should be kept opened to enable the commuters buy tickets and obtain other services.
