A sub railway station in the mainline between Gampaha & Bemmulla. Closest main station is Gampaha.

This a very special station. My grandma has sed me that had not it been our old villagers’s self-motivation, this station name would have been changed differently . That means, there had been a tag-of-war between our village and near village. At that time if our villagers had not been able win that war this station name would have been like The Ihalagama Railway station. I suppose that was a awesome story about the history of this station

A very quite Railway Station. Few passsngers/villagers use this station for their travelling needs. Mostly office workers get into the trains in mornings & get off in the evening. During day time few passengers use the station. Surrounded by paddy fields the Attanagalu oya Ketawela anicut the Poorvarama Viharaya gives it a beautiful natural environment. Fresh air cleaner environment fewer people enhances it's neutrally
Fee amenities are available for passengers it is a very quite, silent, peaceful, beautiful place
