Couldn't go to it. They said it was closed, some locals took us by another route, but couldn't reach the top, if you go by a vehicle would be great, also try getting a permission to it.
We took buses from colombo and reached there.

I visited this place in 2016 and it is one of the best places to spend the vacation. Situated in a beautiful mountain range, isolated, yet having all the facilities with a cook and an assistant it gives you an unimaginable experience. The view, climate and the atmosphere is amazing. Its a paradise for the bird watchers and a heavenly place for a relaxing getaway. You have to bring the food and accessories needed and they will prepare the food. Prices may be high and a 4x4 will be better to reach the bungalow (it's fun to have the old muddy road than a smooth carpet road for this kind of experience)

An amazing place to visit in the mist it's kind of horror go in rainy season you can have an amazing experience. You have to take foods and everything there's a care taker to cook them for you. There is a summer hot where you can stay when sun rising and sun setting. Also there is a huge Garden. You should stay at least one day one night in this amazing Bangalow

Mr Priyantha is the person in charge of this place. He is rude and not helpful. You can't talk with him over the phone. He's always busy or not answering the phone. I tried to contact him several times. He's not answering my calls though he text me telling he's busy.
He thinks the guest going to nagrak bungalow is his factory workers. I hate this place.

If it has 6 stars I will definitely go for it. The place is ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. The access road is very dificult and pritty narrow. The road is half done with the concreet but 70% of it is raw. You will definitely need a vehicle with a higher ground clearence (ideally a 4WD) or a rear wheel drive short wheel base vehicle (I used a Terios Kid and it was perfect for the journey). Dont ever try with a car or a Toyora KDH or any other van with a low ground clearence coz it wont help you to reach to the bunglow.

But ones you reach to the bunglow you will forget all the dificulties you have encountered to get there coz the place is absolutely stunning. The lawn, the solid summer hut and the bunglow is absolutely take your mind out of this world. The bunglow has 3 large rooms and 2 medium sized rooms all with fully tiled attached bathroms. All bathrooms are tiled and provided with Hot water. If you need hot water, inform the staff that you need it as soon as you get there, because they are using an old boiler to make hotwater and it takes a bit of time.

The staff is really nice and supportive. You need to take all the stuff you need during the stay coz the bunglow is hostile and no shops around the bunglow. The meals are superb.. Mobile services are not there except Mobitel. But it is only near ther area of the summer hut. But the sigmals are so weak. This place is ment for relaxation so I think its better to forget about the mobile phone.

The place is really cold and it is way colder than Nuwaraeliya. So take thick cloths. I recomend this place for a 2night stay coz it is not enough for a one night stay.

The bunglow is right at the Hortn plains. But never try to visit the horton planins from the gate of the bunglow because it is strictly prohibited. If you try you will get arrestedcoz it is strictly monitored by the Forest Department. So better not try that route to go to the Horton plains.

I hope I have covered all the important areas an cleared all the doubts for those who wish to go there. So if you go there please make sure to leave only your footprint.

Love the location and the view at the top, the view is breathtaking when there is no fog at dawn.
The bungalow could improve more with it's facilities, hot water as only available in 2 washrooms supplied via a firewood boiler, the other two washrooms with solar heaters didn't work properly as there was less sunlight on the day we went.
The cook and the people who worked was helpful and pleasant. The food was good and the rooms were clean.
Importantly the hotel should provide the guests with better blankets if possible due to such low temperatures.
I recommend anyone to visit the place as it was totally worth it.

Really nice place. It is nearly 18 km journey from 99 road near belihul oya. It requires 4 wheel drive if you would like save journey. If your vehicle has more ground clearance it would be ok. Road is fractured, so need carefully drive. In the middle of road you can find landing place of lokanthaya, falls people. Road is like 10 feed wide so two vehicles cannot exchange every place. Only who book the Bangalore can be go to the permisses, others have to go back. Staff is not that much friendly.

Awesome place, but if you are planing to visit Nagrak you need 4wd vehicle or motorcycle. Also you should get permission from estate otherwise they don't open gates for you! It's about 20km ride on broken road but awesome! If you are planing to stay night at Nagrak bungalow you can di your reservation from Ratnapura their head office. Enjoy!

Beautiful bungalow located on top of a mountain. The drive to the bungalow is difficult due to narrow roads. You can also walk to Horton Planes from the bungalow.

The Rs.25K bungalow Rip -Off and the "Death Road to Nagrak Hell"
We ( party of 9) paid Rs.75,000 upfront for a much looked forward to 3-day holiday at the Nagrak Bungalow from 16-18th September. Unfortunately we were so disappointed with the awful and unsatisfactory condition of the Bungalow that we decided to cut short our holiday and return home without any refund / compensation , nor even the courtesy of an acknowledgement to our written complaint from the people in charge ( Balangoda Plantations )
    1) bathrooms in a mess: Taps leaking , wet and slippery floors without even a single floor mat to walk on. Water leaking from some Shower knobs and one ( in room 4 ) came to my hand! Bidet holders broken and the b.shower lying on the floor. Our flush handle was not working properly and each time we had to remove the cistern lid to pull the flush !
    2) No heating in the rooms and uncomfortably COLD due to lack of fire wood supply . Most of us could not fall asleep due to severe cold weather and my elderly mother caught a bad chill in the night and was shivering violently which kept us awake all night .
    3) Untrained and inexperienced service staff; eg: The dinner table had no cutlery to have our fried fish meal , probably expecting us to eat with our fingers . When requested for some cutlery the waiter Rishard brought nine spoons to cut the fish !
    4) In my opinion this 24-km "The death road" from the turn -off comprising of the precarious 33- hairpin bends is the most dangerous and riskiest road in Sri Lanka . It was in very bad condition that if the driver by chance went off even a few inches off the road you could fall down the 3,000 feet precipice to your death . The RDA should immediately ban all vehicles from using this highly risky road until it is fully repaired and safe .
    5) 25k Rip off : The bungalow is heavily over-priced . The rate has been increased from Rs.10 k to 25 k without looking into the basic facilities expected even from an ordinary place.
Therefore , I would definitely NOT recommend this place to any one.

Nice place, nice weather, great view. Everything is just at its maximum. There's an observation hut built at a narrow edge of bungalow garden where you can see a huge map of Sri Lanka crated by mother nature.
