  They have a great arrangements was on a boat where 40 people could fit in. Still the boat was spacious and the service was great. They provided a nice breakfast with sandwiches. And at the end a chilled fruit juice.
  The staff was really nice and was really energetic in getting us sighted with whales and dolphins at the best view.
  We were lucky to sight a herd of dolphins some flying fishes and yes 4-5 whales.
  The tour was really satisfying and highly recommended.

  truly a remarkable deep sea experience . the crew of the boat are pleasant, well equipped , and always ready help in any situation. the up close experience with the Dolphins and the Whales are amazing oh and small word of advice- even if you had never got sea sick before make sure to take some meds before heading out! so you will enjoy the sea and its giant wonders

  I have been 2 times whales watching in mirissa. In Mirissa very famous for whales and dolphins watching around the world, There are many of service providers but only can highly recommended Mirissa water water sports, they have long term experience. They are always following the what are the guidance for whale watching. boat are very comfortable. Staff in a boat verry friendly. While the journey they provide short eats,water ,frut drinks also..always following safety guidance also..Good luck.!

  If you want to watch whales in a respectful way, this is the company to choose. As it should be, the skipper approached carefully and never from the front, slowed down as he was getting closer, idled the motor at a respectful viewing distance. Quite a contrast to many of the other boats!
  I only gave four stars because of the lack of educational component. Ideally, one would use the commute to tell the passengers a bit about the marine fauna in the region, and especially of course the blue whales, about the right way to approach them etc.
  In general, I wish the government would regulate this activity. Around 20 boats were out chasing viewing opportunities of an estimated three whales. They should have to be licensed, and the license should be linked to following a strict code of conduct - to be checked regularly. Mirissa Water Sports would have no trouble getting and keeping their license.

  When I got to their office, I was offered the sea sickness pill and the free breakfast box, coffee, etc. Shortly afterward, we boarded the boat and I got a nice, comfortable seat with plenty of bottled waters to go around. The start of my experience was slow since you're just cruising out into open water for a while. I suppose it didn't help that I hadn't slept the night before to ride out from Hikkaduwa at 4:30 on my motor bike. But I immediately perked up when the ship mate shouted "dolphins!" First there were only a few, but then there were way too many to count! It must have been hundreds and they were all swimming right toward us! The ship mate seemed to be attracting them by making a whistling sound. The dolphins were actually playing around the boat like dogs! After about 20 minutes of enjoying that, the ship mate said "And now, we go for the whale" Some more leisurely cruising sure enough ended with the ship mate yelling "Whale!!" About every 10 minutes or so the whale would come up again, and perhaps just as interesting as watching the whale was watching the ship mates of the different boats triangulating exactly where and when it would come up. It was a wonder how they knew First time I ever saw such a creature like this, wild or captive. I could have even sworn it was two whales coming up because of the amount of time it took to roll across the surface, but it was just ONE MASSIVE WHALE. After spending a good amount of time watching the whale, we started on our way back. They gave us more water, crackers, and best part of all - cooled moist towels, something so simple yet so divine in moments like that.
