  Today I experienced SriLankan customer service at its worst. I urgently needed to buy some light fittings so I called Majestic Electrical Co. to check their opening time. Whoever answered the phone told me it was at 9 a.m. as does this web page. However when I walked in at 9 I was told rudely that opening time is 9:30. So I asked the manager how come the person who answered said 9, and he told me in a rude tone "I don't know about that, but can't you see there's a board outside saying we open at 9:30??" !!! So I showed him my call log on my mobile phone just to prove that I had indeed made the call, but he was not interested in that, and just brushed me off saying "I don't have the key to the light fittings section"!
  
  I walked off saying I would never come back there again. It was a truly disappointing experience. Why is customer service such a task for many of our local companies??
