  Lovely and very quiet place. It's a small resort, managed by a German couple, very friendly as well as their staff. Everybody was kind and thoughtful with the guests and made everything simply the best for the guests experience. The kitchen is excellent, breakfast lunch and dinner were absolutely tasty. The property is 20mt from an incredible beach, where there is almost no one else.

  The spectacular beach, backed by a line of striking mangroves, stretches endlessly into the distance with barely a soul around. The waves are fierce and are to be treated with caution, however most of one’s desire to swim can be satisfied in the infinity pool. We did venture into the sea, and enjoyed being buffeted by the huge waves, though I wouldn’t recommend venturing deeper than you can touch the bottom.
  
  Lanka Beach Bungalows was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Local restaurants are worth checking out for food. And a cycle to Rekawa lagoon is highly recommendable (the hotel provides bicycles free of charge).

  We stayed in several locations in the area and this was by far the best. Apartments and pool are quite new and well maintained, much better than some of the more expensive options in the neighbourhood. A big plus is the filled mini bar with very reasonable prices.
  As we like it quiet we liked the area most of the south-western part of Sri Lanka. No noise by nearby streets, only few people and a very nice beach that feels like your private one. Waves are quite high so only few people dare to swim but we had our fun. Still good to have a pool.

  Lovely secluded little compound with super friendly hosts and staff and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen! The food was great and the bungalow was serene. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an actual getaway.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Lanka Beach Bungalows! The place is amazing, with a luxury hotel feel, however has the friendliness of a homestay. Great breakfast with loads of choice, wonderful pool and right on the beach. They have bikes you can borrow and cycle down to the fisherman's port and meet some locals. It is quite a bit out of town (20 min tuk-tuk, about 800 rupees to Tangalle), however after visiting Tangalle I wouldn't say that was a bad thing. It's nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. Would absolutely recommend!

  Very calm except for the roaring of Indian Ocean which is right in front of property. Very clean and well organised by Hans & Barbara. Tastefully designed 6 bungalows with all amenities. Simply a superb place where I would like to revisit. A must check for all Sri Lankan visitors. Happy travelling!!

  Lovely accommodation, clean and all the necessary amenities (fan. AC. Hot water). Positioned right on the beautiful sandy beach, with many kilometres to explore. We witnessed local fisherman bringing up their lobster pot full in the evening and the local men pulling up there net onto the beach in the morning (this is quite a sight and an exhausting effort, i know because they welcomed me to help them pull up the net, which was amazing fun). The food was very good at the restaurant and great service too. You're isolated which is the beauty of the spot. Day trips are easy to arrange.

  Really nice little "resort". Six very good and modern bungalows with A/C (but no TV), a nice restaurant and a great pool. It's located directly by the beach (the beach is 10 meters/30 feet from the pool). The whole area is very quiet and not crowded at all. During a three hour beach walk we met a total of three other people at the beach :) I'd be happy to stay here again in the future.
