It's a place you can do ayurweda treatment for you body as well as all the water games. Friendly environment. Good food. And much more fun. They have special group packages. Wonderful hospitality. Kids special packagers. Good safe place. Go to.the map.and take.the.direction. when you going from colombo you can reach place within 2hours.

Located in Bentota. Property is next to a lagoon. Not exactly on the beach. But has free shuttle service to the beach on demand. 2 minute boat ride to the beach. You can book water sports from the resort (could be expensive) Good rooms on the ground floor. Has a small pool as well.

Our experience in this place wasn't very pleasant. We had a cockroach and a small lzard in our room. My son didn't step out of his bed all night and didn't use the bathroom. He used communal bathroom next morning. Staff was helpful to try to sort it out but no joy. I won't go there again. Breakfast was nice and served very nicely. Rooms need to be more sealed for the insects. Internet wasn't working. There are no phone in the rooms either.

One of the worst places I've been to.

1. The first room they gave us didn't have fans working.

2. The second room they gave us didn't have hot water working. So they asked us to use a bathroom in another building. I understand things go wrong, but they hid the fact and made us think that we just had to wait a bit for it to heat up until I called them out.

3. The "Ayurveda doctor" does nothing more than recommend their standard day treatment. My mom asked specific questions to which he just said that things will be improved by the regular treatment. Oh, and my mom left her slippers in the spa and she couldn't find them afterwards.

4. The food and the rooms are definitely overpriced by Sri Lankan standards. And the rooms weren't even clean enough. The pictures are very misleading.

6. When I wanted to book a taxi, the guy said he'll arrange it and quoted an unreasonable price. And when I said that it's 4 times what I paid on the way here, he suddenly said that he'll ask another friend to see if he might have a better deal.

In short, they try to rip you off in every possible way. The water sports were nice to experience, but I suspect there are other places around here where you can stay, and you can still decide to come here for boating, jet ski etc. should you need that.

I had a 2 seconds talk with the "doctor", well the owner, who tried to sell me a massage of 2 hours for 54€. As I thought it was way over the price (I pay 25£ in London for 1h Thai massage), I decided to take only 1 hour. On top of all, the woman who massaged me explained me during the relaxing hour that she's not well paid and can't see her kids, and that she would like to have a tip.
Massage rooms are on top of it very rustic and mold.
To be avoided!! Tourists trap

If you have never done spa in your life, you can try here for full body massage in 5k LKR! They offer authenticated aayurvedic spa!

Awful. Did not like this place one bit. Reviews on the site is misleading. Maybe not as per our taste. We were booked by travel agent. Did not have switches working, could prepare coffee, was informed there is hot water in the tap. There wasn't. Very poor room service. finally moved out from this place to stay at hikkadawa.

Worst experience no proper service by the staff. pictures look good but when you come you experience the worst service no proper WiFi facility no telephone to call room service!!No kettle in the room to make coffee !!Not worthy to stay for the price we pay to them

Good view, bad service and rooms. What I mean by bad service is that the room didn't come with blankets and when I asked for it the didn't respond, multiple times! And what makes it worst is that the shampoo they give you is in a small plastic bags like ketchup packets!!! Which is not enough to wash your hair from the salty water.
I'm not a negative person, I have really enjoyed my stay, but I don't think I'll be there again.

Two of us arrived yesterday and was given a room on the 3rd floor with pleasant view to the estuary. Plenty of water sport and activities in this protected water.

The hotel offer free boat shuttle to the other side of the island and after a 2 minutes walk to the Indian ocean. We went after breakfast and spend 2 wonderful relaxing hours walking the beach and swimming in the water. It was a pleasant experience.
So far the food in the hotel restaurant was good with a BIG price (comparing to what locals would paid for :> ).

Overall, the staff has been very pleasant and helpful. Several things in the room did not work properly and the staff were quick to resolve most of them, may be with the exception of a single working channel TV.
We would recommend this place.

I visited this place on 15/12/16 & 16/12/16. Terrible experience. Do not think to visit this place only viewing photos on google. Because No TV, NO Intercom, No Facilities like Soap & Shampoo, No room Service, On entry they provide water but after that for each day they charge heavily, Every thing they provide only after demands, Nobody cares to solve your problem. Room No. 5,6,7 are under electric switch on switch off game. Every 5 to 10 minutes lights went off & returns after 10 to 15 minutes. For this they explain that this for customers safety which cannot be accepted. In 2 days I have not seen their office with attendant. You have to walk to search attendant. There is no complaint book that means they are not ready to change their views towards customer. If you want to have severe headache , 100% GUARANTEE for it. NEVER NEVER NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE. Most WORST Resort I have visited in Sri Lanka.
