A wonderful place to spend vacations. Sea on one side and river on other makes it enchanting. Staff is very polite, helpful. Breakfast spread is good. I loved it more because I could enjoy sunrise by riverside and sunset by seaside.

This is a resort located in the shoreline towards Southern area and the most attractive was the initial boat ride to the resort from car park. This gives an amazing overview of the resort while moving towards it.

Food is good but not superior. Anyway there were plenty of varieties to select. There is entrance to the beach just after where the pool is located and sunset can be clearly observed from the resort.

Along the beach it is ideal for morning and evening wall was there is a longer free space. Also it gives a refreshing feeling during night walks around the resort and can enjoy the breeze along the river side.

In my opinion the best hotel in Bentota from one side the river where you can make water sports or river safari and from the other side the bright blue ocean water to swim and in between the nature and the hotel with it's great swimming pool, SPA. The food there was so tasty either for breakfast or dinner. Go for an ocean view room and it will deserve every penny you paid for. The hotel have one of the best Gym I've seen in a hotel. And best of all is the friendly staff who will do their best to serve you better.

Over all not a bad hotel but needs a bit of TLC in places. The food is decent quality as long as you like curries/spicy food, if you like plain/ English food other than breakfast you may struggle. Pool and amenities good and a fantastic beach is only a Stones throw away. The staff are friendly and only to happy to help in all areas.

The resort is between river and Sea so we have to reach resort in boat.Approach to the resort is awesome. The breakfast spread is sumptuous. Staff courteous. Location scenic. Water sport team is very helpful. Awesome location best experience at report.thanks

A fabulous place to chill out. Lovely pool side and beach. It is a perfect beach resort. Very good, spacious rooms with balcony. I wouldn't mind another holiday in Centara.

We visited with friends in October and enjoyed it immensely. Excellent choice of foods and drinks at the buffet, with two other restaurants as well. Some great beach walks, large pool on site. The local shops are a one-minute boat ride then five-minute walk. Special mention of Yasodha, who was extra enthusiastic and helpful. How good was it? We are returning with our two granddaughters next week!

I’m a little torn with this place. The resort itself was very nice and the facilities are decent, but everything that could go wrong, went wrong during my stay. Check-in was a nightmare, the floor in the room was not cleaned before our arrival, I received a dirty towel one day And there’s a bunch of other little stuff also. The worst was the woman who checked us in. She was quite unpleasant and remained that way during out stay. I caught her giving us dirty looks a few times and mumbling things to her colleagues as we passed by. Things didn’t start very well at the beginning but she could have at least pretended to be pleasant rather than act obviously annoyed with us whenever we were around.
This place definitely has potential and the 360 restaurant is worth a visit if you’re nearby. The rest of the staff were friendly enough so my gripe is really with just one staff member. They really need to pick up their game because there are plenty of other resorts in the area with better ratings.

Very excellent location. Management very good and staff very friendly. This property is really very good with well maintained. Swimming pool very big and clean. Food not much vegetarian item but food taste is good and very clean in dinning area. Guest entry by boat from river. Property located between river and beach. Water sports activities available in resort with very attractive rate than outside. Very nice stayed experience

My overall point is 3.5
Speeding reservations team & friendly
Cleaned rooms, only 1 water bottles for 2 adults to drink as we for tea or coffee.. additional water bottles chargeable. There is no enough stuff for coffee or tea.
Only few variety food with delicious , restaurant receptionist was very friendly but serving staff is not good, they visited to the table only to take the dishes .
Pool trace room is too distributed but overall good and happy 😊 accommodation.

We visited this all inclusive for 4 days and I would say it was good overall. I wouldn't give it 4 stars. The rooms are clean and the staff are really friendly. However using the word all inclusive is a bit misleading to say the least. Only about 10% of the drinks were part of the all inclusive. Everything needs to be signed for regardless of it being inclusive. This can trip you since you could be signing for a chargeable drink when all you really wanted was the inclusive one. Very sneaky in my opinion. The hotel location is amazing with the lake on one side and the beach on the other. If you can avoid the 'Beach Boys' trying to sell you something or just harassing you on the way to the beach, then you will have done better than me. The A La Carte restaurant that we booked into neglected to tell us when we showed up that it wasn't open. Overall - I think it was a pleasant stay but not amazing like i thought we'd get. Finally all the staff were just amazing.

Consultation manager and various other staff wonderful.
Had very bad experience with beach side boys.just got cheated on last minutes.
Please every one organise your local tours through Centara management.
We made mistake of hiring taxi through beach side boys.That was shame.

We stayed here for six nights and found the staff were courteous and friendly, amenities were clean, though our room had a mouldy smell. The biggest disappointment here was the false advertising. The surroundings look nothing like the advt. Beach was dirty not sure if it was sewer going into or what, happy hour is only while your having your meal, wine was watered down, beer was flat most nights. Buffet was generous. Found this resort to busy for our liking and went in July which was low season.

The property is well located and crossing the river to get to the hotel is an interesting experience the staff at the cafe ben restaurant are the best and very friendly, which is not generic to the rest of the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable we stayed in a suit which has two balconies with a great view. The two TV's never worked during our stay even after several complaints. The water sports center on the side was well equipped and staff are friendly and helpful the boat safari was nice and should be done around 11:00am the cost is LKR 2500 for trip of an hour, the jet ski rids cost LKR 4500 for 15 minutes for the big jet ski, they have other rides and fishing trips too. The beach is clean and you can spend the evenings watching the sunset.
The only troubling issue we had was at the reception, when we arrived at the parking area, it was not properly staffed with one or two staff members who are clueless of what they are doing and they keep screaming at each other without assisting the guest. The main reception staff are no better, We wanted a late checkout and thy refused which we do understand as they were fully booked and they informed us that we should give the room by 12:30pm max even through we had taken full-board and our last meal was lunch that day. Then they called the room at 12:00 with a warning that they will charge us if we delay to hand over the room by 12:30pm which i found very insulting. reminder or inquiry to when we will be checking out would have been more polite. When we came to the reception and informed reception that we will have lunch and come back to finalize the bill they refused and wonted me to settle the bill first and go for lunch which was so disgusting and rude. The manager was the worst and most impolite. I was so upset that i changed my reservation to half board made the payment and left at 12:15pm
one advice do note take full board take half board or BB. its such a shame that a lovely place like that lacks proper PR

Beautiful hotel. Good food but not much variations. Restaurant staff is very supportive.

We went there on a office outing, some of the members didn't get the rooms till 4.30pm, even though the check in time is 1.30pm.

We stayed in triple rooms. But there was no cups and water provided for three people. But when we requested from house keeping they quickly provided water bottles.

Even though the check in late, Check out were on time, room key cards were locked on time. Some people went for swimming had to go to reciption to get their rooms unlocked.

Overall it's good relaxing hotel. But they need to improve efficiency of their services.

Really disrespectful front office manager. hey done some mistakes and argued to justify. really bad hospitality.

i am complained via SMS to Managing director. Now almost four days gone. still that person not replied or acknowledge . i am black listed this hotel for my future reservation.
i am not recommand this hotel. Don't waste your money.

The Centara Ceysanda Resort & Spa is a very nice hotel with all facility. The journey to the hotel through the lagoon was awesome. There are some service providers who provides water sports activities, lagoon tour and wonderful excursions. Very good food and hospitality too.

Nice place. Cool views. They've almost everything a hotel should've. Rooms are well designed. Just loved it. Food options are great. They can actually work more on the taste for the lunch. Breakfast and dinner foods were awesome. Just near the beach so it's just a walk to the beach. Watch out! Waves might play with you.
They've a nice swimming pool with baby pools and jacuzzi.
Good service. Just faced an issue where the floor gets wet and start smelling after keeping the shutters are opened for a while.
They offer a boat ride to reach the hotel crossing the Bentota River.

I think this is a place to stay if you are in down south of Sri Lanka. Water all around you. Great food and service. You have to get a boat to reach the hotel which is a free service.

We stayed for 1 night, Front office Manager Dilshan offered us the best package and Event Manager Chaminda was very helpful us to see and what to do during our short stay. It would be great if there is a better food choice. Friendly staff.

What a beautiful placeI love this place. so much of memorable experience from the entrance up to the departure,
I have booked the place without knowing anything..but after reach to the place I felt that I have selected the best place for spend my holiday with family.
Sea bath is possible and safe.after finish it you can use pool .delicious foods .variety of foods.kind and freindly staffboat rides.wow..
very Simply ..I am thinking when can I stay there again.

The staff was very helpful and professional. Rooms are clean but can also do with some upgrades.
The hotel starts on the river side and ends at the pool. The beach is not maintained or managed by the hotel. The moment you step out of the pool and go for the beach you are going to have 2 or 3 guys try to sell you boat trips, safaris.
Suggestion, ask for a room on the top floor with ocean view. Take the full or half board and lookout for the beautiful sunset.

The hotel doesn't provide accommodation to the drivers. We were not aware this until we went in to the hotel. The web site does not say this at all. Usually reputed good hotel give this facility to all drivers. Please include this message in your web site. I had to come all the way from the hotel to the inland to find a suitable please for the driver.
