  Kuragala is a pre-historic archaeologycal site with ruins of ancient Buddhist cave temple complex. If you are interested in going in to the cave, make sure to take a caving head lamp with you.

  It is one of the most religious,historical and cultural place unpopular among buddhists in the world.the places like udawalawa dam,budugala,moneragala,hambantota can be seen around.

  The historical and cultural significance of this place cannot be expressed sufficiently. The site of the excavations that unearthed the skeleton of the Balangoda Man can be found here.
  It's sad to see that tourists do not visit this site as much as they should. This should be promoted as a tourist attraction.
