It's natural trails are wonderfull.climate is cool and most of the time rainy..Better to bring raincoats and umbrellas incase if you need to use them.There are several waterfalls inside the forest which you should not miss to visit. If you enter the forest by early morning (at about 7.00am) you will definitely have enough time to walk through the entire jungle . Or else you will have to camp and extend the trip for an additional day. Watch out for the leaches and serpents.

No music was allowed. No singing was allowed. We asked to do a BBQ with equipment & meat we brought and that was not allowed. Not surprisingly liquor was not allowed either. Mattresses were full of bugs. We booked a whole day but when we go to the place they said our booking begins in the evening and ends following day noon. Apparently there was no coordination with Colombo office whatsoever. Guides were nice but bathing in waterfalls were not allowed. Only place bathing allowed was very crowded. May be good for a family trip. Certainly not good if you are travelling with friends

Quite &natural place in Srilanka. Highly recomended for who love to environment. It is good place to stay overnight with families. Two natural waterfalls is there.

I visited there with my family and friends 2017 August , we stayed in the large family room which can accommodate 7 people and the whole experience was awesome. The river just below our room was very clean and safe for kids to take a bath and swim too. The food was so tasty - we ate like no tomorrow. The staff was extremely friendly, they even let us use the room after checkout time since we were late after visiting the forest for free. I'm definitely coming next year too. Thanks

Lunch was delicious and the price is affordable. You can made an advance payment for lunch in the morning and ask them to deliver foods to Kanneliya Forest entrance. Both Dine-in and take-away available. Dine-in is a buffet and price is little bit higher than take away.

This is the best place to have lunch when you come back from Kaneliya Forest. Price is fine. Place the order before you go to forest and will have to pay a advance.
