  Kadadora Vihara was a Buddhist temple, situated in Kadadora, Nuwara Eliya District, Sri Lanka. The temple was abandoned and ruined as the construction of Kotmale Dam in 1979 by Mahaweli Development programme

  A very beautiful place to see. It is only visible during the rain-free periods, since it is submerged most of the time. Please do not bring non degradable matter. This is a sacred area so please be kind enough to come accordingly.

  This is not the exact place known as Kadadora Viharaya. It should be in Kothmale reservoir. This is just another temple named kadadora viharaya. Don't get mixed up..

  Kadadora rajamaha wiharaya is a ancient temple..its in kandy district..now Temple is in the under water. Because of the kothmale dam project.
  Usually we cant see the temple. We have to be wait till very dry season.

  Kadadhora vihaaraya is ancient temple.only a very dry season we can see the Lord Buddha statue.otherwise it's under Kotmale Tank.
