Idalgashinna is the most beautiful railway station in Sri Lanka situated between ohiya and haputhale railway stations.. Idalgashinna station is situated in special geographical place so most of the time you can see mist around here.. Train is the easiest transport method to visit idalgashinna. If u come from Colombo there are 4 trains. 5.55am, 8.30am, 9.45am and 8pm. can see tea states and mountains around the idalgashinna. Station staff are very friendly people.. Idalgashinna is Must visit place of your life.

Idaslgashinna railway station is at between Haputhale and Ohiya railway stations. This station surrounded several tea estates. Idalgashinna is also very cool place and there are no direct roads to travel. There fore people of Idalgahinna used to travel via train. Idalgashinna railway station is special place of Sri Lanka. Both side of railway station are cliffs. Those are stretch to two sides of Sri Lanka. When the blob of water is drop to the roof of the railway station of Idalgashinna and then it may be brake into two parts and then one part is go along Kirindi oya of estern part of Sri Lanka and other part is goes to Walawe river of southern part of Sri Lanka.

Maximum number of railway tunnels between two railway stations are Idalgahinna and Ohiya railway stations. Number of tunnels is 13. There fore Idalgashinna is very important to visitors.

There is ancient secret tunnel is at under the Idalgashinna place. And also a nice defile at closed to Idalgashinna. It is point of viewable a lot of area.

Idalgashinna is a location in the Badulla District, Sri Lanka. The elevation is about 5,300 feet (1,600 m) above sea level. The famous Ceylon Tea and Ceylon Green Tea are grown in the area. Idalgashinna is located within the Haputale-Namunukula mountain range. Beautiful view can be seen from here.

Idalgasinna station is situated in a peak of mountain range. Most of the days the station is covered in mist. And it is situated on a mountain ridge. there is 02 ways to reach this location from motor vehicles. First access using Colombo - Batticaloa Hwy, (Near Haldummulla Town, you can get Idalgashinna Bio Factory Road 6 KM from main Road) 2nd Access using Haputhale boralanda road. (also 6 km from Main road ) But BOTH ACCESS ARE RECOMMENDED ONLY FOR EXTREME EXPERTISE OFF-ROAD DRIVES WITH SUITABLE VEHICLE OR MOTOR BICYCLES.
