Nice and cool place located passing bandarawela town.
Located exactly in badulla bandarawela road.
Right infront of Bandarawela cabs.
So you can even take a cab for site seing.
Ideal location tostay and visit Adisham Bangalaow, Diyathalawa and Haputhalesite. Also Ella and demodara sites as well.
Prices are effordable too.
There is an inhouse restaurant where you can select your meals from range of foods.
Pub is also available under the same hood.
So you can zip any liqour as you desire at the same place.

Just basic food. But again there is no other place to have a meal in bandarawela as well. So I guess people have no other option as well

Perhaps the most amazing breakfast in all of Sri Lanka, the staff are wonderful and the service is excellent!! . Actually, check that! STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ARE TRULY DESPERATE OR LOOKING FOR A TRAVELLERS TALE TO DELIGHT AND AMUSE YOUR FRIENDS BACK HOME!

Before One Year I gave this hotel 2 stars and after that I visited the same place many times, now I see they have improved a lot customer support has increased, started to provide free water bottles, rooms are well cleaned. Wash rooms smell nice. therefore I thought of updating my previous review. Thanks.
Update ~ 25th October 2017.
Lion Inn has again taken few steps back
* Staff has changed. I think even the chef has. This was noticeable as the fried rice was too fried 2 days in a row.
* They have started to charge Rs.170 for a Water Bottle which has the price tag as Rs.75.
* Room No 112 Gets Wet if it rains.
* Most of the Shower Cubicles are broken or has water leaks whick makes the wash rooms keep your foot prints all over the room.
Lion Inn falls back to 3 starts in my revised review.response / report this review -

A decent place to have your meals. We had our dinner here when returning from Ella. The place was clean and the service was good. Decent and clean washroom facilities are available here.

Yes it is ok. but just OK there are issues for example food is bit expensive and the front office dose not have a proper experience.. but it's a good hotel.

Went in a hurry around 2.30pm for lunch. Food was almost gone but not bad. Was fresh but cold may be due to the time we arrived.
