One of old hotel in Kurunegala now still is being upgrading. Food is OK comparatively old day, but rooms are still to be improved. Service is average not exiting.

Very nice hotel.. Rooms are specious and clean. Only thing is rooms are not maintained much.. Food is good quality. Quantity of food is good and rates are reasonable. Lots of place for parking.
Hotel is good for small functions.
Staff is polite and helpful, service is quick.
ATM, medical shop and wine shop are very close-by.
You won't get much of international channels on TV..

In December 2017 our family came to participate a waleema ceremony of my family friend at Blue Sky Hotel, Kurunegala. We participated the ceremony and stayed one night at the hotel. This was my first visit to this fantastic location. I was so comfortable with a spacious vehicle park.

The security staff was so helpful during parking process. Parking is enough to accommodate more than 75 vehicles. The reception was held at Golden Orchid Reception Hall and it was a newly constructed hall with all modern comforts. Banquet toilets were very clean and tidy.

There were around 800 participants but the F&B staff managed to serve them all without making any of us delayed.

The service overall was exceptional . The reception hall is very spacious and the lighting also so attractive. Food was delicious and The staff and managers were prompt and courteous and always attentive to our comfort and satisfaction. We felt that the staff members respect our Muslim traditions too.

Housekeeping Services took care of any issues with the room immediately. Front Desk Staff and GM are well informed and very helpful towards us. The rooms were so clean and tidy. Morning breakfast was also so nice and there is a in house laundry service.

To sum up I can say this is one of the best places to have Muslim Functions in Kurunegala area.

Last week when I was browsing the web to find a good hotel to stay during my 2 nights stay in Kurunegala I managed to find this Blue Sky Hotel which was 5 minutes distance from Kurunegala town. But when I saw the negative comments posted in the web regarding the rooms I thought my decision will disappoint my stay.

But when I checked in to the hotel I was wondering about the great welcome that I received at the front desk. The hotel has a spacious car park . While I was on the front desk the manager was so nice to send me a cup of tea and he also had a short discussion about the rainy weather conditions.

The rooms are spacious and the linen, and the bathrooms were well cleaned. As mentioned in a comment I was not managed to find any bed bugs during my 2 nights stay. The food was very delicious and the staff were very helpful. The staff had changed the bed linen and the towels very next day morning and also provided a nice Sri Lankan breakfast.

The air conditioning was also very good and I was not disturbed by any big noises. There was a room boy called Sarath Kumara and he was such a wonderful employee. The GM and the other members of the staff were so nice and welcomed me with smiley faces when ever I went to the reception area.

I am very happy about this hotel services and recommend other people who are willing to stay in Kurunegala to go to this hotel and make your stay very comfortable.

Not worth the price. Had a terrible experience with bed bugs.
The place could use a lot of cleaning and refurbishing. The smell isn't that great either.

Dear Friends,

Recently I had to visit a night home coming reception of my relation which was held at " Golden Orchid " Reception Hall at Blue Sky Hotel at Kurunegala. I was impressed by seeing there new reception hall. It has a seating capacity for 500 pax. The access to the hall is through a lift and the lighting arrangements of the roof resembles me a night sky.

The menu had various varieties of food and delicious dessert range. The staff members were very courteous and efficient. The salad corner was so colorful and attractive, and had There were no lapses during the service. The food was warm and had a traditional and modern flavors I had never tasted a "Watapappan" with such a nice taste. The credit should go to all kitchen staff including the executive chef.

The vehicle parking area is enough for more than 50 vehicles and the security staff was so helpful during vehicle parking process.

The hall does not have any beams and that is a great advantage while taking photographs. The reception hall area is fully visible to any corner of the the hall.

I would like to recommend this venue for anybody who likes to arrange his/her wedding reception in a elegant way.

Have stayed overnight a couple of times in this hotel. Rooms are average sized and required facilities are there for a comfortable stay. Good food and the overall prices are affordable.
