Nice, calm and plesant place to have a nice coffee or tea time. The way they treat their customers is simply superb.

Took my nephew and his mate for a quick lunch. (first visit to Lanka..)
Approx 10 people outside and 6 inside.
Hot day so sat in.
Modern. Comfortable. Cool and reasonably good music.
Ordered 2x milkshakes and an iced lemon tea.
Ordered 2 x beef burgers and chicken and mango wrap.
10 minutes later milkshakes turned up with a lime juice.
Returned lime juice 5 minutes later lemon tea arrived.
30 minutes later the burgers and a smoke salmon baguette arrived.
WHAT THE!!!!??
Sent Baguette back.
Tucking into burger distinctly had a very off fishy taste. After 1 bite halted eating.
Went to counter. Explained the concern.
Still wrap wasnt assembled.
Paid full bill except for wrap.
Rp3600.
No reciprocation.
No apology.
Couldn't care less.
After all there are many more idiot tourists to come. And whilst I was there i observed 2 other issues. And this was with 16 customers.

Decent spot for a bit of tea or a beer. The decor is nice and the furniture is comfortable, although the TVs were playing static when we went.

Service was ok. Ambiance was ok. Had a portion of garlic bread, chefs choice salad, open sandwich with egg and ham, mango juice, peach black tea iced soda and lemon tea iced soda. For all these over 3000 and only this worth money was 2 iced sodas and the garlic bread. They were nice and that's about it. Salad had no dressing whatsoever and mostly tomatoes and salad leaves. Sandwich same story. Mango juice tasted more like water. If I'm going back it's only to have something to drink. Maybe garlic bread too.

What an oasis with strong aircon that serves really good standard cuppa coffee!!!! Rs 450 for a cup of strong flat white. Recommended.

The tea was very good, the food was fine. It was pricier than other breakfast places, but I think that goes for the Dutch Hospital as a whole.

Had an egg benedict here but it didn't look like egg benedict. More like a fried egg on bread. Tea was good. Mango juice too is good.

We just ordered coffee here, so we are not able to comment on the tea. The coffee is pretty good though, it's also a nice place to spend the afternoon. It will be better if they turn down the air conditioner a bit.

Located within the premises of the famous Old Dutch Hospital. This is popular for sandwiches, waffles and a good range of teas and wines as well. They also serve a decent range of cocktails. The staff offers an excellent level of service and the ambiance is most likely to a tea lounge. The rates are affordable and this definitely is a perfect place for an evening drink and a snack.
