This place is under the irrigation department of Sri Lanka and it is one of popular circuit bungalow among many. it is on west bank of mahaweli river. The circuit is very close to mahaweli river few meter fron the building you will find steps where you can go to river bed of the river . be careful there is a electric fence build to stop the elephants . But in this area elephants are hard to find.
place has a caretaker named sarath. who is a good cook. you can bring what ever you want and he will cook them for you.
Building had 3 rooms which has air conditioning . And there is also one room dedicated only for the Director General .
be prepared for the mosquitoes . there was so mosquitoes I almost did not leave the room.response / report this review -

Hated this place because the toilets were not clean at all and yellow stains were there, the commode was broken,there was only one table in the dining room which was terribly scratched ,the beds were noisy,the light was broken in a room and the fan was shaking terribly

One of the best and largest circuit bunglow maintain by the irrigation department.

Good place in dry zone to gather and enjoy. Provide good food but charges are not much reasonable. Reservations is required and it is not easy with department people. Have a nice view with Japan bridge and Mahawali river. Can see wild elephants on some days.
