Best Gym in Sri Lanka..
Best gym ever. I get registered recently and they are really helping me out to get in to my goal. They helping with everything. Like meal plans and everything. Worth the price 🤗
One of the best Gyms around and love the trainers. Ther recovery team is superb as well. A bit too pricey but worth it.
Awesome and friendly people. One on One fitness training, and excellent classes for Dancing, with Tarja De Silva, and Spin, Boxercise, combat circuit, and many more with Alberto. Very helpful staff with all smiles. Love the place.
Possibly the best Gym in town. Personalised services and great support.
This is best gym in Sri Lanka I've been to. The staff and trainers are very professional and helpful. Membership rates are high but the high price tag reflects the quality of the service provided by them.
An upscale gym. Expensive but one of the best.
An upstair gym. Has enough parking space. Has some new eaquipment and good staff. Open till night.
Excellent equipment, plenty of parking, good locker rooms, can get quite warm 'coz of d high ceilings and many glass windows but generally, a fantastic gym!
Big gym. Small washroom. Showers rooms needs to be maintained.
I go for the class package, 5000lkr+ for 11 classes. Great, motivating trainer and nice class space. Good variety of classes through the week and gives you just as great of a workout as any gym session. One of the best gyms ive seen with a good female audience too. Regular memberships however are very expensive but if you're able to, worth the cost.
Best Gym in town with the most qualified trainers and quality equipment, also friendly and motivating atmosphere to be appreciated
Great gym. When I moved down from London; I checked out all of the main gyms in Colombo. This gym has great equipment and what set's it apart from the rest are the staff; who are very friendly and easy to get on with.
Also there is loads of parking and a cool protein shake bar.
Instructors do not easily give written schedules unless pressured even after buying one-on-one personal training packages. No proper training schedules setup to reach national or international levels. Instructors do not train properly - does not really care about customers health or injuries.
Air-conditioners in changing rooms should be switched on at all times. One of the most expensive gyms in Sri Lanka, but no sauna, spa or free towels. Equipment is fine, but no easy crunch machines to workout abs for beginners. An easy to use low resistance ab machine should be available for beginners.
Best gym in Colombo with the most professional and friendly staff. Rare to find a gym in srilankan with the equipment and facilities that high Octane offers .
Very Reasonable Price for Membership, also very good instructors available
One of the hottest gyms in Colombo, where some of the high profile people work out. They have invested into good equipment, and have extended operating hours.
I like many other Sri Lankan gym goers joined this gym based on all the hype on Youtube and Instagram but was highly disappointed after the very first workout itself.
1) The gym smelled of sweat the first time we entered. Air conditioners are switched off although A/C units are present. Fans are turned off and the customers need to switch these on themselves. It is near impossible to do any form of cardio without overheating the body. If the A/C is ON in the cardio area, it is only in fan mode.
2) The water filters have no cold water although they are plugged in.
3) Locker rooms are acceptable but could see improvement given the high membership rates. There was one time where the tube light near the mirrors was broken into pieces and laying on the counter top and floor. Only one of the two soap dispensers are present. The shower stalls are small and does not meet standards of gyms which charge similar rates.
4) Gym equipment are in good condition but most of the weights have only 1 set of a given weight.
5) A towel is required to be laid out on machines because customers sweat so much without Air conditioning. Customers have no access to any disinfectant to wipe down machines like in any other country. Only liquid available was in the cardio area but it smells like surgical spirit and the smell will not go off your hands even after washing them thoroughly.
6) The personal trainers I've seen do not train the client with proper form and only care about the glamour muscles like biceps and bench press. I noticed an older lady being asked to perform deadlifts, which is risky at that age. The clients squat only half way with weights which are too heavy for them but the trainers do not seem to mind at all. Youtube has better training than these trainers!
The marketing team has done a great job in promoting this gym as the best in Sri Lanka by posting media online including strong.lk but it does not live up to the standards as advertised. I would recommend to have a trial workout before committing to a long term membership.
This is an upgraded version of a waregouse gym. If you are coming from a cold climate and not used to the hot and humid tropical weather don't go to this place!!! Air conditioning was switched off after paying 2x the amount of a luxury gym in USA such as Equinox..Highly unacceptable temperature inside. I don't recommend this gym to anyone..The equipment was fine and you are able to get a serious workout done but you might pass out from the heat.
