  Price and Room was okay, BUT we had Bed Bugs in our Beds. So after several bites in the first two nights we asked for a different room, they only had Rooms that were more expensive than ours and weren't willing to give one to us for the same price as it would be their loss. So having the choice of sleeping with bed bugs or paying twice the money we rather chose to leave the hostel as they were zero accommodating.

  The first seeds of one of the best Arugam Bay hotels, the Garden Cottage was sowed in 2013. A joint venture initiated and run by Munsih, a robust hotelier with ten years’ experience in the tourism field and his friends has become a tourist’s favorite in Arugam Bay. The hotel features cozy cottages and cabanas made of wood, A/C and non A/C rooms, all over-looking the flourishing and peaceful garden thriving with a variety of flowers and plants. Immaculately maintained and boasting ideal comfort, this is the ideal place for surfing enthusiasts and nature lovers. The pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff make the experience a memorable one. The hotel is also situated at walking distance from the main surfing spot in Arugam Bay and other convenient places. Every rom brings you one step closer to nature making the Garden Cottage one of the best hotels in Arugam Bay.

  Fantastic place to stay, very friendly staff - Munish and Majeed, clean rooms and toilet, good food at the restaurant. Munish arranged all our transport from Arugam Bay to Batticaloa and Trincomalee getting us a very good price, thank you Munish. Even provided medical service when my son & son in law fell sick, brought a doctor friend and treated both of them without any charge. Great place and service will recommend to anyone.
