We stopped for lunch at this restaurant which is just before the Bentota bridge as you head south. The restaurant is on the water's edge of the river Madu with a view of the mangrove trees and the sea up ahead! Its a quiet place where you can relax and just watch the view as you wait for your food. Food was good and one dish was sufficient for two of us. We had a few vegetarian dishes to choose from which was good.

Relatively provides good service. They have large number of boats and you want have to wait too long. It cost arround 3000 rupees per boat. It will depend on the crowd you have and the type you choose. Your boat trip will be arround 2 hours or so. You can visit madu river, mangroove caves, islands of the river, the lagoon and specially the Kothdoowa rajamaha viharaya there. You will be provided with the life jackets so safety won't be a concern. Staff including the boat riders are also very friendly and most of them are villagers so you can get usefull tips to add more joy to your trip. Also you can see the process of making cinnomon at a particular island there. Hope this will be usefull to you..

Good place, reasonable price. Food is good, can't say superb, but for the price ok.
2.5hr boat ride+welcome drink+ lunch+ evening tea+ pool+ one room lkr 1800, good for office day out.

Boat ride it's good, but I am not sure if the rates are fair/7 of us paid 7k LKR. Nice to in the evening when the birds are coming back to nest.

Extremely Very Well Friendly Service was offered. Captain is Very Cool and Manages the premises Very Well. Staff is pretty careful about what they do. Ultimately an extremely well experience in "Madhu River" with the Captain's Cruise.

Went on a boat trip with the fam and it was worth it. Saw a huge croc 😱 it’s a big river and in the middle of the river somewhere there are places where you could stop and get a fish therapy which was so cool 😬 and it was so cheap too. It was really a great boat trip.

Provide good boat services. And a nice place. Well maintained. Crew is freindly. You can see a lot of collection of exhibits. Parking available.

A completely exciting boat ride experience on the Maduganga" river. Old "Enid Blyton" style adventure scenario. Great for the family. With a tasty meal at the Gangabada.

A good place to rest after a long drive from Colombo or long distance from the south. Food is very good Mr Channa the Manager and his Staff is very help full and always with a smile, best place to go on a boat ride which is called Madu river where there is 64 Islands.

A villa like a boat with historic details on Marine field. Food also available but quality is OK. I wish if they can upgrade the toilet.

Their Fish curry with Kiribath is must to eat one. Awesome taste.

The boat ride was alright. Rest of the facilities are so poor. They do not possess a bar license. So you have to hide and drink. Swimming pool is dirty as hell. It is so injurious. Sharpe edges of the loosened tiles on the floor of the pool caused cut injuries among almost all who swam with us. The staff was not there to provide us with a plaster at least. They have given us a room that got no electricity, damp and full of filth. Food is extremely in poor quality and unhygienic.
