food is good. Location would have been better if there was a wash basin. We had to literally walk to the house of the owner to get our hands washed.

The owner was little clumsy in calculating the bill (350*8 she totalled to 2800). So beware.

I can honestly say this is the best Sri Lankan food ever and the family are some of the kindest people we have come across on our travels. We came a little a earlier in the afternoon when Chandani was preparing for supper and she kindly taught us how to cook the food before we ate it. The food is so fresh and healthy - even the coconut milk was made from scratch in front of us. This is an absolute must in Sigiriya!

Best local SriLankan food. Awesome host and quick service. Fish curry and Chicken curry are good. Fresh fruit juices are also nice to have. Good for kids and elderly.

After eating dinner in hotels for 2 nights, which was lovely, we were desperate to try real Sri Lankan food. Very welcoming lady who sat us in the "restaurant" next to her house. We choose the authentic menu 750rs pp =£3.50 ish so not sure how any one can complain about the price! All the family who serves us spoke very good English. Amazing food, really delicious and you could eat as much as you want! Would 100% recommend for a real experience. If your looking for a 5* restaurant don't go as that's the majority of the negative reviews on here when it's obviously not that type of place! Loved it.

Place looks nice in traditional old style. Owners are very keen to satisfy customers. Food was also good. We were not be that lucky as previous reviewers because our food was quite average. But no harm.

It might not look like much, but don't be deceived. We had the best food of our trip so far. The coconut roti was fantastic, the noodles light, fresh and scrumptious, and the dhall curry was amazing (and I hate lentils). And the ever-present pol sambol was the best we've had. I can't recommend it enough.
