You can spend your time here 24/7 unless there's a special event. I've actually stayed overnight with friends and it's good if you're with some friends! Do not try to spend your night alone here! And there's no place to get cover from rain. The public toilets charge 20 LKR per person. Weekday nights, you won't find much of a crowd. But just in case, there are police officers stationed near the viewing pear!
The sea beach is very clean and well maintained but unfortunately you cannot take bath here. You can go down the steps to wash your legs in sea water during high tide. The main beauty is at evening. Many family enjoying their leisure time here playing kites, jogging and walking and gossiping. There are lots of snack shops (street food) along the straight along the beach road. During Muslim festival (Eid) the main Eid Prayer (namaz) is generally commenced at this place. I would like to visit again if i would have the opportunity
