Good place to stay at the town of Kandy, Sri Lanka. I love this place because of the panoramic view we get from it's room windows. Very nice food both in western and Sri Lankan. Love it.

Does not fulfill the minimum requirements to be graded as 3 star.
1 far away from the main road.
2 set aside shopping centre, the nearest shop is about 1 km away
3 no chair or sofa in the rooms.when asked it was told, it is available in 4 star hotels.
4 Sweeming pool ! 20'×10' size.
5 complementary breakfast and dinner treated as khairaat. If you are a bit late..1/2 an hour after start some items not available or cold
6 raw bread slices in breakfast. No toaster.

I can tell this is one of the best place to stay in Kandy . It’s on top of hill and the view from the hotel is amazing. Ambiance is good. Non-veg items are comparatively less compared to veg in both breakfast and dinner.

The only good thing about this hotel is the view. Kitchen was slow, took almost an hour to make a sandwich and 10min after the food came did they deliver the drinks. No alcohol served. Staff did not speak English. Other guests checked in and was super noisy until 01:30 and again at 6:30. Staff did nothing to quiet them down. Wi-fi was non existent.

Decent hotel room 🏨 and picturesque view from balcony. Food is good But all is coming with cons

Food timings are quite odd for dinner (7:30-9:30pm ) and breakfast (6:30 - 9:00am)

Also, there is nothing to roam around hotel..

Wi-Fi is available only at reception with limited bandwidth

And, manager is so rude if you are trying to make any complain. I won't recommend it at all

Very nice view form the balcony of miles of mountains stretching to the horizon that you'll love. Lovely foods. Pleasant ambient. But the service is not that great.

When driving to the hotel we had to go through a narrow tunnel that guided by google maps but I couldn’t enter because of there were big iron bars on top at the entrance of the tunnel. So after that I managed to reverse back and drove with alternative road but it was much difficult to find the hotel. There are very narrow roads and was a horrible experience to me. Please do not trust google maps when you are planning to drive this hotel.

The food was not fresh as a result of which all 6 members had stomach upset and vommittings.

Bathroom WC seat was broken.

Mattresses were very old and formed a pit when you sleep.

Now where do I begin!
- The hotel demanded an additional 15 usd to setup an extra bed, in a prepaid room through hotels.com, which was already defined in the booking. The case is now pending between hotels.com and emerald hill.
- the room is filthy I admit not for a bunk house at a low rating hostel *old shit on the rim of the bidet shower and on wall*dirty bed linen, pillow sheets, with clear stains and hair*greasy finger prints on mirrors and glass wardrobe doors*wooden floor is not washed and clearly not vacuumed*doorlock is broken*and why clean the pool during the day, so guests cannot use it.
Wow, emerald hill is absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed at in Sri Lanka.
but the view is loooovely.

Good hotel in calm and quite place with a beautiful view of mountains and mahawali river. You can hear the singing of different birds in the morning. Friendly staff and good food. Room facilities also very good.

Roomnumber 219. Moderated clean
Very basic hotel, no safe in the room, no bar. Even no drinks available. Very small swimmingpool with no sunbeds. Breakfast and diner poor. Unfriendly staff. The hotel is not offering the real holliday atmosphere to enjoy your stay.
