Nice place to stay.
Don't keep ur hopes high from the pictures on the internet, surrounding was 'okay'. Maintenance is low, maybe it could be the first time and the rainy season, we faced a roof leakage too. Beds smelled a bit odd. Hope it would improve.
Quiet, eco-friendly cabin with sounds of nature as entertainment. Breakfast served on balcony. Incredible food down the road at rawans Adams restaurant - each meal is home prepared.
Very basic tree house. Water standing in the bathroom. Everything really damp. No view on the surrounding hills.
very nice and beautiful place.
It was good. Clean, quiet. The good breakfast costs extra.
Rooms are really spacious. But as opposed to other cottages near by this doesn't have a view of the Ella gap. Meals are little bit pricey
Perfect place, I think we had a great stay & specially the owner in a good gentleman. We had 100% fun during the stay.
We never reached the place coz it's way inside from the main road.. which is not informed and it's a steep 1 km walk up.. and then the lodge somewhere down in the hills.. and no one to answer you if you reach post 7 pm !
Must be decent in d morning but its dingy looking at nights atleast !
There are better places closer to the road with the same / better view too !!
Peaceful with local children laughing and playing in the distance. Surrounded by trees and cool breezes. Comfortable room with good private bathroom. Would come back!!
Greeted with hostility even though I spoke both English and Sinhalese to the teenager showing us to our room. My husband and I both received awkward stares to the point of being scary; my husband who is 6ft 2 and not easily worried felt nervous by this also. The room given was dirty, noisy (other guests) and unsafe; our door key was a padlock that can only be used to secure the outside of the door when you leave the room. We booked two days and left after 12 hours. Never again and would not recommend.Â
The owner was perfectly welcoming and he took care of our needs. Nice views of the jungle. Simple lodge. Some monkeys tried to steal our breakfast!
Will give 5 stars if they had proper parking..
This place is perfect if you dream of sleeping in a real treehouse. The terrace has a view on the jungle, including monkeys that you can hear jumping on to the roof. Breakfast is served on the terrace. It’s a real treat, with local pancakes and bread, fruits, and eggs.
What we did not like were the sheets that did not smell fresh. Also the host didn’t speak English and you can only pay cash.
I really liked the experience of staying here, but I expect an accommodation to be more professional in this price range.
