Great little family run restaurant with great food. I had Kottu Roti and it was one if the best ones in Sri Lanka. Fresh juices were tasty too. Homemade cooking at it’s best!

P.S. each order is made from scratch, so food might take a while. There are plenty of playing cards around to keep you busy while you wait.

Excellent food, excellent price, excellent family!
Truly amazing how this family runs this restaurant. Father is fisherman, the mother cooks, the sons are serving and managing the place and the child does the entertainment 🙂
Dinner for 2: seafood salad, whole fish with chips and vegetables, extra chips and salad, 2 fruit juice and 2 ice cream for 1.800 R (9EUR)

Truly cannot praise this wonderful family highly enough. The hospitality is above and beyond, the portions generous, and I am just amazed that one woman can prepare such delicious meals by herself. Dream is more than a restaurant, it embodies the spirit of Sri Lankan hospitality and generosity. Thanks for the great memories guys!

Delicious vegetable curry ! The staff has been one of the friendliest I have met and does everything to satisfy you (free ice-cream, or free "refill" for example). Portions are generous and prices are low.. we went to eat there twice in 3 days. They will give you playing cards while waiting for your meal, another nice attention!

One of the best restaurant we found in Sri Lanka. The (Very) Kind family that runs the restaurant is adorable. Food is excellent, handmade, and it's also one of the cheapest address we found. It deserves its reputation. Cheers.

Great service (best we’ve had in Sri Lanka in the last week). Good seafood options and the Kottu was moreish. The fish of the day grilled with bottomless fries was the highlight. Worth a short detour from the beach

With my friend we are warmly welcomed here. Food is prepared with heart. Variety of the food and the taste of coffee can be improved though.

    Talk about dedicated service. Amazing!
    Whole sea-caught fish : 1000RS
    Curry banquet : 500RS
Son runs the restaurant, dad catches the fish, mum cooks and the younger kids chip in too! :)

One of the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The food tasted very fresh and made with care. We didn’t have any trouble with waiting for our meals at all, despite the restaurant being very busy. You might understand any delays though, as my partner went to the kitchen to thank the chef and found the mother cooking solo- really incredible. Attentive service and an all round, great experience. And massive portion sizes- you won’t leave hungry.

Visited this place based on other reviews here and it did not disappoint! Our host (the eldest son of the family) was so welcoming & attentive. His sweet mother cooked the most amazing food and what he recommended I try is by far the best meal I've had in Sri Lanka so far (currently I've been to Colombo, Beruwala, Galle & Tangalle)!
A must if you enjoy great food with the added touch of genuine homestay vibes and great conversation with a true local. Highly recommend you try the vegetable Kottu or the vegetable curries and rice. Enjoy! :)

The food is so good and the owner is nice. Take the fried fish. You are here to take your time, because it's always long. I went there 5 days in a row so you can't be wrong.

This place is just wonderful. The food, the service and he atmosphere, all is just in perfect harmony. The owner couldn't be kinder, the food cooked by the mother is delicious and a positive aura is surrounding the place. Probably one of our best experience in Sri Lanka! And you better come here with an empty stomach - as you'll roll back home 😊

One of the best meals and experience I had in Sri Lanka. The fish, the curries, the salats, rotis - all fresh made and locally grown or caught. Vegan and gluten free friendly. Just let the owner know. Come with an empty tummy as the portions are huge. You have to experience this delightful place and its great atmosphere. Its a local family and you can ask for any advice for your further travels.

We had to wait pretty long (1h) for food. It was OK, not special. Price is as high as in other mid level restaurants at the beach. The waiter and his family are very kind and caring, though often in a Sri Lankan style.

Оно того не стоит, уж если, то нужно букать.
