Doctors are friendly towards the patients. But the attendents and Nurse are rude and not suitable for their title., they even misguide and behave like very educated people. Nurses and attendents are like animals sometimes. if proper staffs are arranged it would be a good place to care for health

The doctors treat well, but some nurses and attendants are very rude to the patients, they just make fuss and shouting at patients without giving proper instructions, also I have noticed at this hospital they ask to do lot of tests from private labs, I don’t know why they do this, most of people who is coming here is poor, also I have seen some doctors financially help patients to do their tests out side, my suggestion is need to improve the medical service and give the free treatment to the poor people.

Facilities are good as i know. But the way of nurses treating pertinent is very bad. And hospital's cleaning is very disgusting. Usually i see some dogs are in OPD Section. Doctors caring is very low level for heart disease patients , and they are not indicating important notes to patients . the main thing to all "please don't admit heart disease patient in matale hospital pls go to kandy general hospital"

This is a general hospital and currently it is under Central Provincial Council. They are willing to transfer this hospital to central government as its maintaining cost is high.

After the above transfer, we can make a hope, as this hospital also will be in some standard as the other general hospitals in Sri Lanka. This is the only general hospital in Matale district and it is providing teaching facilities for medical students from university of Rajarata also.

Facilities might be ok but it's disgraceful how they treat to innocent patients. They should have been taught how to do that.
For a example in the ward of pregnant mothers, nurses treat them like animals with a lot of bloody words. They are a disgrace to "Florence nightingale"!
