Absolute Heaven!
My family and I stayed at Cinnamon Lodge, Habarana for 10 days in April, a holiday booked to celebrate my 60th birthday, and I could not have chosen a better place to stay.
From start to finish everything was brilliant. We received a wonderful welcome from Jayamila, who was amazing throughout, always checking to make sure we were happy. She is fantastic and together with all her staff were the best we have known anywhere in the world.
The whole stay could not have been better. The service, food, location, views, wildlife, pool, everything was fabulous.
We were glad we stayed there the whole time as there is so much to see and do around the hotel and many other guests said they wished they were staying longer.
We certainly were very lucky that we chose Cinnamon Lodge. Thank you for the best birthday ever.response / report this review -

Super experience. I enjoy the stay here every time. Lovely setting and provides a relaxing atmosphere. Great service from the staff. Watch out for birds and monkeys. The location is set amidst nature so we are actually in their territory. So always keep doors and windows shut and food stuff away from easy reach.

Marvelous hotel with natural atmosphere. Worthy for the money. Good place to take your kids. Friendly minor staff. But Front desk is not helpful. Jogging tracks, bird watching places, lake view, all other places looks promising. So beautiful. Right next to the nature. My family loved this place.

Beautiful hotel. Best for nature lovers. Accommodation and foods are good. Please note this hotel doesn’t have triple room, they only make triple room with extra bed with double / twin room.
We booked nearly 22 rooms. Check in are fine and welcome the gust was really good, two room got bit delay but acceptable. When we are checked out was really disappoint with front officers, they are very rude on check out. Check out time was 12. We are checking with lunch only 2 rooms got bit delay, the front officer was really rudely behave that was very disappoint us. Other than hotel and other staff was really nice and helpful. Great place to relax. Tranquillity setup. Rooms are good and clean and maintained properly. Staff is very attentive. Food is great. Nice pub besides the pool. In room dining could be improved with more options. I had issue when checking in. My reservation was not registered in the front desk even though i booked directly but i was given a room without a problem. But on a fully booked day it could have been a problem. I would have rated this 4, but the location and the service of the staff make it 5.

Food here is excellent. Lots of choices and even lobster or king prawn offered. I find creepy crawlies in the room is the only drawback. Staff very friendly and helpful. Problems quickly sorted out.

One of the best hotels i have ever been. The hotel provides great rooms and customer service. Also it has great surroundings too. The food is really tasty and it has one of the largest combination of local and foreign food items in all meals(Buffet).

Gorgeous views. Fantastic staff. Friendly and courteous. Personable people. It is a relaxing setting with several hammocks across the property, a great way to spend an afternoon. The pool has a great view of the lake.

This property is a great place to relax and unwind in a very eco-friendly environment. They have small blocks of rooms spread over a green tree filled area where one comes across different harmless animals as well. A couple of ponds also dot the landscape and there is a jogging track that spans 20 acres.
Service staff are courteous. They offer good local and international food and much more. If you are going in a group, property also has a cricket pitch and volleyball court aside from the usual pool.
My stay there was exciting with so much to do, definitely plan on going back there again.response / report this review -

Had an amazing time here! What a great location. Have a stroll through the vegetable garden (all ecologically frown and used in their kitchen). Watch the elephants on the other side of the lake. Very friendly staff and great food (go for the traditional food)

It's really the best place for relaxing if you want to get away from the busy day.
Awesome landscapes for calm and quiet mind.

It is a place with superb nature. Beautiful and calm We had good service from friendly and descent staff. Held nearby Habarana lake. If you lucky enough u will able to watch elephant freely roam and playing in other side of the Habarana lake which is amazing

Hotel ambiance is very good. A good place for youngsters for a short break from routine. The swimming pools, the food court, and the tree covered walkways are awesome. The rooms are very good with all facilities, and excellent maintenance.
But the room service could be better. For a pure vegetarian, the food may not be acceptible. The room- dine options could be more.response / report this review -

I loved my stay at Cinnamon Lodge. Sitting by the lake was one of the most serene experiences I have had throughout the stay. Never got bored with the calm, healing environment. Absolutely love the cottage style room clusters. Good food and friendly staff. We stayed in a deluxe room and the room facilities have been well thought out. Cinnamon hotels have never been disappointments. We left with beautiful memories.

A great place to enjoy a peaceful vacation. Relax and read a book seated in a tree house. Walk among the trees and enjoy the beauty of nature and witness the stillness of the lake. This is the environment you get at this place. The rooms are great and provides you with all facilities you need. The food is awesome which further compliments the stay.

Unique resort. The food here is great with loads of options. The pool is probably my highlight, with crystal clear water and a very deep end. The rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms are in need of a renovation. Recommend!

This hotel was touted as the best in the country.
However, our experience was off (this rating).
We had to make do with two single beds joined together; the shower cubicle was too small, and the main faucet looked rickety.
The place was wonderful and we had lovely walks both in the evening and early morning, followed by an elephant ride right nearby.
Note: The hotel doesn't organize the elephant rides on the grounds of being humane to elephants.response / report this review
