most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya and all the visitors used to come here and spent some time by the lake and relax. You can buy a ticket and visit the Lake park and enjoy your evening by the lake. If you like to have a boat ride, there are several people offer that service. If you like to ride your own, there are two seater Swan Boats for hire.

Nice place to visit and spent some time. season is during month of April but rest of the period is OK for have a change. this area you can experience cool clean air with natural green surrounding edge to Gregory lake.
if you like you can enjoy Boat tour in Gregory lake. this is one of the most popular tourist destination. specially among local cu crowd. you can have some snacks and drinks at the same place too.

Gregory park was the most serene place I visited in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is a must visit.

Tip: Rent bikes and take a long drive to the Devon falls which is about 1.5 hrs drive from Nuwara Eliya. The road is beautiful! Best to reserve a early morning timeslot. A good plan would be to have breakfast at the falls around 8:30 or 9 am and return by noon to Nuwara Eliya having lunch on the way back. Spend the rest of the day shopping in Nuwara and the evening at Gregory Park. Check the lake timings though.

Can have a magnificent view of the mountains over the Gregory lake. Waking paths and the surroundings are well maintained. Ample parking available and small shops to have a snack or a meal inside the park.
Everyone entering the park has to pay a fee. Even for locals the fee is high. Sadly the people at the ticketing booth will decide the amount you pay to enter. Have seen foreigners who negotiate with those people and pay half of the amount and enter with no ticket.

Nice park by the lake. However the outsides of the park is very crowded with hawkers and horses adding to the littering. Hope the keep it more clean. The other side of the lake was however not open to public. Evenings on weekends were very crowded. Would recommend to visit during morning hours if you wish to enjoy the tranquility. There are benches inside. However there's an entry ticket for a charge of 400 Lkr.

We enjoyed our stroll along the lake. It is a beautiful setting with fine views of the mountains. It was surprising to have to pay to walk along the path next to the lake. More surprising that local people were given tickets as proof of payment but we were not. The amusements for children, horse riding restaurants and rides on the lake were of course charged extra. The grass is well cut and the paths maintained but it was a pity that so much rubbish apparently washed up from the lake was around the edge. It is great fun to watch the Sri Lankan families and groups obviously enjoying a great trip out. We liked the fact that some brought drums with them and were singing and dancing in the sunshine. The food stalls in the car park sold snacks like fresh fried potato crisps on sticks.

This place is great on off season because of less crowd. Everyone who enter the place have to pay. Inside the park you can have boat rides, carnival fun, and many more activities Great place if you traveling to Nuwaraeliya don't miss out this place

This park is a must visit if you go to Nuwara Eliya.

It has a wonderful lake and a mind blowing climate which change in every 30mins. Sometimes it's foggy, sometimes it rains and sometimes it's cold breeze.

Many activities can be done here. Horse riding, speed boat, peddle boat.

There are small cafe all around where you can sit and enjoy snacks and drinks.

Well maintained park.

It's surprising that I haven't heard much praise about this park and only found in attractions in Google trip. When we were reached here we were almost astonished by the beauty and they whether. The whole environment is stunning. Walk along the lake is itself so refreshing. Then the park is surrounded by gorgeous old buildings. There are plenty of water sports activities in the lake which are a little a little expensive for the locals but would be reasonable for the tourists with higher currencies. The there is an amazing food street where everyone gets something for his taste at a reasonable price. There were some activities for children's like the jumping castle, we found that at very reasonable price. There is also a guest house inside the lake where you can live although it was fully occupied at that time. At the end we were shocked to see garbage on the water near the floating chinese restaurant. The fee for foreigners is 200 which surprisingly reasonable comparing with the prices foreigners pay at other attractions.

Nice park to walk with kids, having some activities for kids. Very beautiful view of tea plantation beyond the lake. Having some restaurant options near by. Have parking. Very nice weather and walking path around the lake and very famous place in Nuwara Eliya.

Nice place. More commercialized now. Tickets issued. Boat rides available for different rates. Food court is also available. Horse rides also there. The Hourse keepers are not treating the animals well . I saw brutal beating to a horse by one of them. Sad to see.

Beautiful location to visit. The lake is really gorgeous. There are also jet skis available which is Rs.1500 for locals and $30 for foreigners. I would recommend trying the jet ski. There is paid parking available inside the park.

Awesome lake amid mountains.. Quite a good place for a picnic..
Plenty of food options around.. Nice boating or jet skiing in the lake..
Must visit at least once for an hour or 2..

Nice place to visit. Cool and comfortable climate. Can enjoy boat rides, horse rides and several other games. Small flower plants make the place more colorful. There are some food outlets also.

Apart from enjoying the great views it provides, there are so many activities you can enjoy here. Those includes cycling, riding water boats and a ride on a helicopter even. But, I felt it is a bit expensive that riding water scooter costs Rs. 500 per person. Can enjoy a variety of hot and spicy food at the stalls. The prices here are reasonable. But, I strongly recommend to avoid the weekends and national holidays in Sri Lanka, if you are going to visit this. Because at those days, it is too crowded. Parking inside the Gregory park is available (for Rs. 100 I think), but not enough at a holiday. But can park by the road with a risk. Ah, an entrance ticket is Rs. 50 (I don't know whether it is different for foreigners). It is best to go on an evening.

Fantastic place. You will have something for everyone in your family. Play areas and Pony rides for kids. Nice big lawn area for picnic. Boat rides for whole family. Jet skies for adults. Well maintained and clean.

Very beautiful place to visit with family and kids. Literally it's a mini London as it's called locally. The lake and the park aside is very well maintained by the authority. The park facilities including children's play zone, food, boating are at reasonable price. Lots of tourists from home and abroad gathered this area. The green grass of the park is very soothing to sit and relax. Really really enjoyed a lot along with my family. Highly recommended.
