We went there early morning around 6.45 and it was so cool and calm. Just so beautiful.. Great place to just relax and enjoy the nature. Saw some beautiful butterflies and birds but when u go do wear long clothes or a mosquito patch in case there are mosquitoes. (When we enter, the person at the office told us to be careful with the mosquitoes as I had the baby with me. But I saw only one. But there could be more so better be safe) For me it was a good experience to enjoy nature in the middle of Colombo.

A good place to visit some nature in Colombo. Sort well maintained. A good place for kids as well, but a lot of couples are there 😅🤪. So warning if you are thinking of taking your kid.

Great place in between the urban city where you can find a peaceful, quiet surrounding. Highly recommended for the ones who are interested in wildlife & birdwatching. Can see many Purple swamphens in the marshy area. Better if you come in the morning. This is a paradise for who loves butterflies.. 🦋

It's maintained nicely. We went a bit late so couldn't spot a lot of birds. But I feel if you go there early morning you will be able to spot more wildlife.

Such a beautiful place around colombo to have a great time! This place is specially suit for wedding photography, model shoots! I'm pretty sure that this place would give a great experience for all nature lovers! You all can have a great time here with your friends & family! I'd highly recommend this place to visit! Nice and calm place to visit. you can see different types of butterflies, birds and dragon flies. You will have a nice feeling even in the first visit.

Nice place with a calm and quiet environment. Well designed tracks through the wet land that you can enjoy the nature and see may birds. Peaceful place to take a walk. Floating Duck and Bird watching tower is nice. Great place for nature lovers and photographers. Morning and evening times are the best times to visit this place. Plenty of parking space. Entrance fee is Rs. 100/=

A park designed for birds watching. But it's full of couples and lovers. If you don't have a good place for romance, then this is the right place.😁 No places to visit for Valentine's day? Come here! Want to get into relationship? Many singles are here, choose one you like and get a great start. Lol. It's a nice place to visit. Tourists and families, not recommended to visit during weekends and Fridays.

Well maintained park and good in sunny days. Full of green and home of many lives.
Not allowed to bring any plastic or polythene. Adhere to their rules. If u interested, you can find many kinds of birds, reptiles, fish and also couples.

Nice place to become close with the nature. A wet land with build in walking path that you can enjoy the nature and see many birds.
Some of the walking paths go through ponds and they do not have any protection in side ways. So you have to be careful specially with children.
These is opportunity for wedding and documantry photography too but you have to pay separately.

A bird lovers' haven! If you are a bird lover, this is the ideal place closer to the capital for bird watching. Nice place to spend time closer to nature. The wetland park offers great views of the surrounding area with a few observation points. Early morning or evening is the best time to visit this place. The place is rich with diverse wetland fauna and flora species.

A calm and quiet place for nature lovers inside colombo city. You can see a variety of birds and there are view points. The trail looks nice. You’re not allowed to take non-biodegradable items such as plastic bags and such. Not allowed to take any food or alcohol inside. Usually can spend 2 hours or more embracing its calm nature and beauty. The ticket costs 100 rupees for a local.

Nice place. Calm and quiet environment. Best for bird watching. Great biodiversity can be seen.Good maintain can be seen. Good security. Do not allow to take non biodegradable items like plastic bottles.f Foods also prohibited inside the area.Attractive place inside the busy Colombo metropolitan area.

Very nice and relaxing place for nature lovers! U can see variety of birds! Also recently I did a wedding photo shoot with a couple! There are so many nice backgrounds over there! You can capture awesome shots! If you want to go there u better spend half a day at least! U can see diyawanna lake around the corner!

This is a calm bird watching park situated in close proximity of Colombo. Entrance fee is rs.100.00 per locals. Its is prohibited to take polythene , plastic bottles inside the park. No refreshment is available inside the park. Good place to be isolated from the urban environment .

A sanctuary that houses a wide variety of birds and butterflies. It is open to the public from 6 AM to 6 PM everyday and charges Rs. 100 per person as entrance fee. There is a duck pond, observation tower and designated locations for bird watching. It provides a quite relaxing atmosphere with a perfect blend with nature.

The ticket price is Rs100/=. From the point of entrance there are left and right sides of the park. The left side is awesome. Beautiful scenarios that make you forget that you actually are in a town. A butterfly walk, a diyawanna walk, a duck pond and so on. It actually is a wet land. You can observe several wetland birds, butterflies, lizards and also some fish. Really worth the price. There is a forset walk which is very resemblant of an actual forest. But that is about the left side.
The right side of the park is an utter waste of time. Basically nothing to see but some plants with their name boards.
You can not carry any polythene inside and you have to leave them at the reception. You can take meals after or before taking the journey.

Just wow. Best around Colombo. Plenty of parking space near the entrance and it's free. Rs. 200 for entrance. If you are alone, you will be in trouble because it is full of couples.
