I had lunch here with my wife during our holiday in Sri Lanka. The selection of fish and the the preparation were excellent. Very unassuming place but good and efficient service. Worth a visit for every tourist to Colombo

Great shack to enjoy some tasty seafood with views of the beach and Indian ocean!
Tried fish fry and bbq shrimps. The fish fry was well cooked and the spices were mild yet flavourful. The shrimps were great!
Service was efficient. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Lovely seaside ambience with cool breeze blowing!
Neat and clean shack. Prices are decent and the quality and quantity is adequate.
Overall a memorable experience!⛅🌞🍤🌂🍹🍻

My 6pm dinner reservation had been confirmed for four weeks yet on arrival, the front gate was chained and padlocked shut and not a single light was on. Entering through an open side door, I found people napping on the tables in the dark and was told the place would reopen at 6:30pm, not 5:30pm as advertised. My guest and I were allowed to wait on the sand to watch the sunset, yet despite a confirmed booking for 6pm, were totally ignored and not served anything until after 6:30pm. While offering a good range of menu items, fresh and cheap seafood and the sound of waves lapping at the shore, at the end of the day this place is just a bunch of old plastic tables, set up in an enclosed area of sand, on a litter-strewn public beach in suburban Colombo with horn-blasting passenger and freight trains thundering past the front door every 15-25 minutes.

Amazing place for good sea food and dinner by the beach. There is no menu, just catch of the day. Food is delicious and service is very friendly. Highly recommended for a chilled dinner and great sea food.

Really recommend this place. Stumbled upon by accident when walking towards Burger King and it was beautiful. On the beach front with pleasant staff and great food. THE place to eat within a limited area of Colombo.

Friendly personal, casual style, dinner right next to the beach.

This is a great place to entertain some of your friends or make get-together for a small crowd. Place doesn't look so great or wow as not maintained properly for years. But it's right in front of the beach and need to cross railway to access. We get very few places similarly

The food is great,

on the wall they put pictures of visitors who comes here. i guess they have more than 800 wall pictures.

They need improvement in the menu & english, if you have a local guide, that won't be a problem, otherwise, you'll take forever to explain or to understand. Unless the Supervisor is there whom seems a bit lazy.

You should be patient. it might take up to 50 minutes for food to get ready, but when it comes you might eat your fingers. Yummy.

Fresh seafood by the beach. We've been there dozens of times and the atmosphere is always casual and friendly. We highly recommend always booking a table in advance to get better service. Our favorite order is one whole grilled fish and some garlic steamed cuttlefish with a side of salads and fries. It's excellent!

Easily the best seafood restaurant in this part of Colombo. Great value for money. The sound of waves, the sea breeze and the very friendly staff, all add value to this place.

The local beach feeling is perfect and the culture browsing was fun. There was a mix of mostly locals with some tourists for lunch. Casual outdoor dining overlooking a tiny fishing enclave.
The owner brought us a board of fresh fish and shellfish to choose from. We went with oysters for a starter and a local beer. For our main we had a platter of giant prawns cooked perfectly in a spicy sauce. We also had veggies and rice. The fish was fresh out of the ocean that morning and was delicious, as were the rice and veggies.
The service was friendly and didn't take very long.
The place is famous and it was easy to see why. Count your blessings if you get to visit here for a meal while in Sri Lanka.
