  A great hospital. Friendly staff and well maintained facilities and very clean wards. Since it is a base hospital it has many treatment facilities. Only second to the Badulla general hospital.

  The Second Largest Government hospital. almost all the facilities of a typical Sri Lankan hospital could be found here. There exists a pre historic land mark inside this premises with an ancient archaeological value. This place have rock records about the Great Ravana King and his Powerfull Knight Naharana. The folk Stories believes that the rock stone inside the hospital premises is the birthplace of "Senpathi Naharana" . and also the great Knght Naharana will reborn as human in time to time at the same place. and who knows weather he is born now or will be born in the labor room here.
