Good and friendly staff is there and hotel itself got some unique views along with the river banks. and good meals were served with great taste. Though the pool is little bit smaller compared to the other ones its not bad at all. Pool charges are also cheap and it is perfect for day outings.

It seems pretty elegant and a beautiful venue. There are two reception halls which allows you to have two functions at the same time. They have a huge car park and can park more than 200 vehicles easily. There are one swimming pool and one natural lake at the back of the hall. If you are a crazy car lover you can see a Hummer car parked at the lobby. Also you can play some piano freely at the lobby. But careful everybody will watch you. So I have say some thing about the food also. Main course is Okey however the desert is the best part. If you have to have a function here will be a good option.

One of famous hotel from Avenra group of hotels, it is a nice place for weddings & other functions. Landscaping & interior design are Excellent. Reception halls are Spacious; Food is average & there is an ample car park too. Downside is guests have to travel a lot to reach the hotel which is located in a middle of a village.

I was there for evening tea and dinner.

the place is very calm and beautiful. the hitel staff also very kind and helpful.
Tasty of the main course is good but the tasty of the dessert is too bad. I have ordered chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream. that was really bad.

Good restaurant. Really enjoyed the food. Tasty. However charging for the pool towels. That's why we pay for the use of pool. Pool towels should give Free of charge.

Went here for dinner. The location is AMAZING. Great architecture and beautifully maintained but The food Over fried, tasteless or too oily. Also the waiters appeared not to have enough experience for the type of place that this might be. Please do something about it as its a pitty to loose points on food and service when you have such an amazing infrastructure in your hands. Hope to come back here in few years and find it spotlessly perfect as it has the potential to be one of the top restaurants in the area! Best wishes.

Nice experience

We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was great, but you have to take the stairs to go to the upper floor. There was no any elevator (lift). Hotel staff is not very much professional but they were really good and helpful to fulfill our needs. The food was awesome and they had wide range of foods for all 3 meals. There was big area to walk and it was a really good experience. Swimming pool is quite large and not very much clean when we use it. But the pool staff was doing a great job to make the pool. The hotel room was big and neat. Bathroom was big and super clean. The other room facilities are quite great and worthy. The only minus point I got is there was no particular taxi service operated from the hotel, you have to find out a taxi via internet. Otherwise it was a nice experience to stay there.

Very nice hotel. Huge surrounding, large pool area, landscaping, natural ponds, restaurant, two wedding reception halls and much more. Elegant design is breathtaking. So peaceful environment. Lovely.

Simply amazing architecture. Very calm and quiet place. Bit away from the main road but the road is ok. Food is amazing. However the staff is not much professional. If you’re looking for a calm and quiet place, this is the place to visit.

Architecture of the place was simply amazing and the food was on par with Colombo 5 stars. Perfect place to have a one of a kind wedding. However, service of the staff was not suitable for a hotel like this. They were friendly and pleasent enough but didnt know how to serve their guests properly. Hope it will improve in future.

Nice modem looking hotel. When you enter the hotel premises it's like entering into a new world. Wedding halls are superb. Service is great. Nice lobby area.

I visited Gangaara for a wedding, I was not so fond of the access road and was not expecting much from the place but my first impression was a big WOW. The place and the design aspects of the hotel is amazing.
The reception hall too was beautiful and looked elegant. Not so impressed with the food though, I think there is more room for improvement in the food department. Loved the grand 🎹 and Bumblebee in the lobby area. Unable to comment on the staff and rooms as I didn't interact with them or stayed there.

Calm place. One of the best places you could find in Wennappuwa for a holiday. Nice banquet hall with modern lighting systems. Frienldy staff and food was okay. Clean rooms but lacking a Good View.

Place was exceptional.. The Location is Better than Expected with the natural touch added.. The staff is very friendly and good.. Bonquet Halls were Great with some of the latest technologies used.. The only Downstar was the Food.. They could've done so much better than this.. There are plenty of restaurants In the same area which provides Food so much better than this with a great quality and a cheaper price.. Place was Good.. Feels very Comfortable.. I dont recommend Gangaara for Dinner Outs..
