We use the swimming pool facility here. It is a 25m pool with a deep end. There is a team of well trained swimming teachers attached to this facility. The pool is bit old now and needs maintenance. The place is located at a very convenient location. There are few restaurants with in the facility.

No parking and they cause inconvenience to those driving by. Lack of consideration for others seems to be the norm here. Late night events cause disturbance to all the neighbours. Parties and functions continue well past midnight. Pool side parties are the worst. Facilities are not maintained well like other gyms and clubs. All in so Austasia is a nuisance in the neighbourhood. They deserve to have a few court cases for the noise they make. Would not go there even though it is close by.

Love the place, however as of late its hard to not notice how the quality of the place is somewhat deteriorating (maintenance of facilities). Still has one of the best pools in Colombo if you're into swimming laps, gym staff and others are friendly and helpful. PS: parking is a bit of an issue during packed hours but they also have parking behind the pool, not ideal when its raining and/or super dark but serves the purpose.

This place lost my membership. When coming to Sri Lanka as a foreigner, I didn't expect to find a swimming pool with at western standards. But recently they decided to close the pool for a couple of weeks (without proper notice, causing me to show up in the early morning to find out the pool is closed for renovation).

Just this week the pool was open again, so on the first day I came and was happy to see the pool filled with water again. But soon I found out that they didn't clean the pool properly before filling it up with water. Even under water, I could still write my name on the tiles in a thin layer of brown dirt. The color of the water was green, and you couldn't even see the other side of the pool under water because of the dirtiness.

For the first time I was happy to be able to wash myself in their grubby and decayed showers.

In my opinion, this poor level of maintenance and lack of hygiene is a danger to peoples health. I have not used the other facilities of Austasia, but for the swimming pool I would definitely say: avoid.

Currently the swimming 🏊 pool is under repair for broken tiles therefore swimming classes are cancelled but other facilities are available. The bar/nightclub is pretty nice so I'd recommend it for you guys to check out!😀

Pool is available
Mostly famous for indoor cricket
Gym is available but equipment and stuff are not update at all. Most of the equipment are from 2003.
Swimming classes are there for kids as well as adults. On Sundays there's a 3D mini cinema happening. Not the best experience but good for a change

Great a/c gym with many free weights and machines. There is a large pool but is often being used for classes and off limits. Though there are many facilities, handball, indoor cricket, billiards, ping pong and badminton, there is an extra fee for each one. The price is a bit high if you will only take advantage of the gym. Yet, it os a good gym, maybe best around and a/c is always at good temperature.

The Club which offers Sports and leisure, Holiday, F & B, Banquets, Academies & Education all in One Membership, Most of the facilities can use 24 hours of the day 365 days of the year under any whether condition, Most of the games take less than one and half hours, Most of the games available builds team spirit & fosters team work, All the sports facilities are international standard and available for all the sports bodies, All the facilities can be used for leisure/ fun sports activities for the whole family, Austasia houses the Ceylon Indoor Cricket Association and Asian Indoor cricket Federation which are the governing bodies of Indoor Cricket Sri Lanka and Asia respectively, The first and only venue so far to host a full sports world cup event in one complex in Sri Lanka. This was the 4th world Indoor Cricket world cup.

Indoor stuff mostly. This place was famous for Indoor Cricket. They have a Gym for exercising stuff, but price for that bit of too much expensive.
Also pool available.

Once this place was glowing.. Now it seems not like that.. They should really improve.

A once great sports club, going through a tough time with low quality maintenance and no new additions.
The changing rooms are a mess, the pool is dirty and the service staff is not available when needed.
The only thing keeping the club from being a total disaster is the indoor footsal / cricket courts. For which there are not so many other options in Colombo.

Well if you're planing to workout at a gym.. It's a big no! One of the worst gyms u find. If you want to get electrified you can try their treadmills too 😀

Austasia has long passed its glory days as a sports club. Back in the days (around 10 years ago), when indoor cricket was still a thing, Austasia was the go-to place for it. The place even hosted quite a few indoor cricket league games as well. Austasia used to also be well-known for its swimming coaching programs and they had a few big name swimming coaches running the show as well. Since then the place has fallen quite a bit in quality. You can find an alright swimming pool, a decently equiped gym, indoor cricket nets, a badminton court and a restaurant there. Parking can definitely be an issue.

It's a nice place for a good practice session of many outdoor and indoor sports. However the staff are ignorant about the properties of the clients. Sometimes expect to get a rude reply.

Place is not maintained well, but still it's within acceptable operational standards. The indoor courts are always in demand, so will need to be booked early.

Podium (a bar located in this complex) has been the usual hangout spot for me and my friends for more than 5 years. If you're up for some live acoustic music on a Thursday night with a few drinks I highly recommend this place. The place has been renovated and it looks very beautiful at night.
