If I could give a -100 rating I would.We took our 5-year-old Dalmatian to Citi Pet animal hospital in Athurugiriya, when we saw the website we were under the impression that this is a good hospital. We took the dog with high fever about a day after he reduced his food intake. They took a blood report and said he is having low red blood cells and diagnosed him as having IMHA (Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), which results in the killing of his own red blood cells. First day City Pet told us that this curable and it is not serious. They administered a dosage of Saline and glucose along with 8 tablets. After this we were asked to take him home and bring him back the next day. The second day the other doctor asked us if we were given the tablets to be given at home and we said NO, which points to the fact the main Veterinarian forgot to give them to us (Dr Sugath Premachandra). Upon my suggestion they gave him oxygen for about 30-40 mins, for the rest of the day it was Glucose IV and Saline, we were told to admit him but we were not allowed to stay back so we had to leave when they closed in the afternoon. In the night when they reopened we revisited and gave him soup but he vomited it out as well. The next morning when we went he couldn’t even move his eyes and they still didn’t administer any oxygen saying he can breathe on him own and he needs to heal by himself, just to waste our money they had done a liver profile as well. Once again, we had to leave because they were closing the hospital. Then we get a call at about 2pm telling that he had passed away. This place is there to kill your pets, no special care is given to a critical pet. He did the same thing with our other Dalmatian, took an exorbitant amount to neuter after which she stopped eating to see her kidney has been traumatized resulting in renal failure. When we took our puppies suddenly they have a liver issue. This place is the worst pet hospital ever and I really hope by reading our story we will be able to stop another person from going through the heartache we went through. When we spoke to few our friends we got to know a few stories about this place, it has a history of misdiagnosis. Please do not take your pets here.

Exactly a week ago I took my lovely kitty to this place since she was not feeling well. That was the first and last visit. They took an xray, then gave an injection, then gave us two pills and ask us to come back in 5 days. They didn't mention anything about her condition is poor and feeling I got is things are fine. Unfortunately she passed away same night. Just few hours after visiting this horrible place. I have sent them a message via their Website, Facebook page and finally email without any response. Poor soul was lost due to medical negligence of this place. This is our horrible experience.
