  Anuradhapura Archaeological Museum (Also known as Puravidu Bhavana) is one of the archaeological museums of Sri Lanka. It is situated in the old kachcheri building, between the Brazon palace and Ruwanwelisaya. The museum was established in 1947 under the prime effort of Dr. Senarath Paranavithana. Anuradhapura Archaeological Museum is one of the oldest museum in the Cultural Triangle area and it has been proposed to name as the National Museum of the Department of Archaeology of Sri Lanka.
  The museum is used to exhibit antiquities found from various regions of Sri Lanka. Such as Buddha statues, inscriptions, drawings, puppets, coins, jewelleries, Beads and other miscellaneous things. Among these antiquities there is a model of the Thuparamaya Vatadage and a relic chamber found at Mihintale Kantaka Chetiya Dagoba.
  
  அனுராதபுரம் அருங்காட்சியகம், அனுராதபுர நூதனசாலை அல்லது புரவிது பவன (Anuradhapura Museum) என்பது, இலங்கையில் உள்ள தொல்லியல் அருங்காட்சியகங்களுள் ஒன்று. இது பிரேசன் மாளிகைக்கும், ருவான்வெலிசாயவுக்கும் இடையில் உள்ள அனுராதபுரம் பழைய கச்சேரிக் கட்டிடத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த அருங்காட்சியகம் 1947 ஆம் ஆண்டில் சேனரத் பரணவிதானவின் முயற்சியால் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. இந்தத் தொல்லியல் அருங்காட்சியகம் கலாச்சார முக்கோணப் பகுதியில் உள்ள மிகப் பழைய அருங்காட்சியகங்களுள் ஒன்று.
  
  இலங்கையின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிலும் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட அரும்பொருட்கள் இங்கே காட்சிக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. புத்தர் சிலைகள், கல்வெட்டுக்கள், வரைபடங்கள், பொம்மைகள், நாணயங்கள், அணிகலன்கள், மணிகள் போன்ற பல பொருட்கள் இவற்றுள் அடங்குகின்றன. தூபாராமவில் உள்ள வட்டதாகே எனப்படும் வட்ட வடிவமான கட்டிடத்தின் மாதிரி ஒன்றும் இங்குள்ளது.
  
  අනුරාධපුර පුරාවිද්‍යා කෞතුකාගාරය (පුරාවිදු භවන) යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පුරාවිද්‍යා කෞතුකාගාරක් වේ. එය ලෝවාමහාපාය හා රුවන්වැලිසෑය අතර වූ පැරණි කච්චේරි ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ පිහිටුවා ඇත. වර්ෂ 1947 දී ආචාර්ය සෙනරත් පරණවිතාන මහතාගේ මූලිකත්වය මත මෙම කෞතුකාගාරය ස්ථාපනය කරන ලදී.
  
  අනුරාධපුර පුරාවිද්‍යා කෞතුකාගාරය සංස්කෘතික ත්‍රිකෝණය තුල පිහිටවූ මුල්ම කෞතුකාගාර අතුරින් එකක් වන අතර එය ශ්‍රී ලංකා පුරාවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ ජාතික කෞතුකාගාරය ලෙස නම් කිරීමටද යෝජිතය.

  The museum is closed for renovations and the personnel at the ticket counter didn't know the tentative date of the museum reopening.
  The ticket counter for tourist to purchase
  Anuradhapura sacred city tickets is open and in operation near the gate.

  Gennaio 2018. Sede principale chiusa(sembra da molto). I pezzi archeologici sono disposti -malamente- in un'esposizione vicina. Potete evitare la visita.

  It's not worth the money.
  
  The main building is closed for renovation and can't be visited. Only a bunch of stones can be seen on the yard and there isn't any explanation to understand them.
  
  Also, it closes at 4:30 pm.
  
  Disappointing. Avoid until it's opened again.
