  Good big setup, but no fans, no air conditioner, makes it most uncomfortable eating joint. Though all food items are excellent..

  Ambasewana is a good restaurant specially for indian meals facing the beautiful matara sea beach. They provide chinese food too. Generally, prices are a bit expensive but quality of meals is really good and very tasty. They offer budget set menus and one can try good indian combos.
  
  Restaurant itself is very pleasant and elevated seating arrangement enables maximum sea views for everyone.
  
  Service is satisfactory. Waiting time is about 10 to 15 minutes.
  
  Finally, it is one of the best restaurants in Matara town.

  Food did not taste good and service was not up to the standard of the place. There was no soap in wash basins and one tap was out of order.

  Seating is arranged according to new concept as stairs . Clean and good place. Food is reasonabley good and indian menu is very nice.
  When you sit on the fron row in a afternoon heat is high due tempered glass and dificult to eyes. So be mindful to sit on a back riw.

  Ordered a Chicken Tikka masala & Fish Kadai. Both tased the same. So my 1st impression is others would be the same. Table seating in theatre style , but for a dinner you don't see the ocean , only passing by vehicles on the road. Could have been better if sit down was possible seing each other on table. Unless its like watching a movie while having dinner. Service staff not realy attentive. You can try real indian food in Indian Hut @ Galle Fort.

  Different seating experience.

  Naan is not the best.
  Indian prawn masala is highly recommended. ( very yummy)

  Just ok place for Indian Food but horrible seating arrangements, you have to seat side by side on amphitheatre like seating with huge non goggle glasses facing see without AC and it's horrible in hot midday, food is ok

  Beautiful Place with over looking beach and sea. calm and clean place. very tasty spicy foods and soft drinks are offered in a wide range of varieties. Price is relatively high. service is efficient.
