One of key station in coastal area. All most all the coastal line trains are stops here. There are lot of people who traveling to Colombo daily for their jobs. During the office hours it's a crowded place. Station is well maintained and clean. Seating and covered place available for bad weather. Public people need to be more care to keep these places clean

Kind of a big train station, situated in between Beruwala and Bentota Railway stations. So if you want to take a Train which does not stop at both above stations, its a great idea to take the train from this station. Most of the Express trains stop at this station.
