owner is a talkative con artiste, who somehow persuades you to stay at his place. After that service is poor, rooms sub standard and toilets dont drain. mosquitoes breed here

Good place. Has A/c. The beach is 3-4 minutes nearby. The owner is very welcome and friendly. Find me in the city, while I was looking for the destination to the hostel.

No help from the reception
Dirty Rooms, lazy Personal you will find better Rooms for the Same Price!

They do Pigeon Island Tour with fresh painted boats, my pants is destroyed and Nobody cares. Be aware of Boatstour infront of coconut Beach lodge.

Friendly, family-run place with fairly nice rooms for a great price. Super short (3 minute?) walk to the beach. Unfortunately our (non-AC) room at the back of the property was brutally hot. Like, extreme-even-for-sri-lanka hot. The ceiling fan did little to help, so we ended up sleeping with all the windows and the door wide open. The heat seemed to be emanating from the bathroom, we think maybe the neighboring room's AC unit was venting in the window. Didn't seem to be a problem other guests were having, so likely just or room, but unfortunately made our stay less pleasant then it otherwise would have been.
