Lovely place , good shopping experience, beer is cold and cheap
Oh wow! St. Lucia is really, really stunning. Went on a dolphin and whale watching excursion here. Sadly there wasn't any whales on the day. But the dolphins more than made up for it. The spinners were amazing to see. Then went around the market and on to have a couple of beers with some locals. Great. And leaving port watching the local people going about their business with such a picturesque backdrop makes you want to stay.
Is good place but they need to improve the terminal and more secure
Beautiful port of call to visit. The vendors are very aggressive as are the taxi drivers that are there offering tours of the island. There is a water taxi available right outside the cruise ship. This is a cheap way $5USD return to get to the other side of the port. Directly outside the cruise terminal there is a huge market that sells local crafts and souvenirs. It is wise to negotiate the price in advance of taking and taxis or tours. In advance, have a clear understanding of where you will be taken and how long your tour will last. There are many places in St. Lucia that are safe and beautiful to see, but there are also areas that are not so safe. If your driver takes you to a beach, keep in mind that all the beaches in St. Lucia are public. Be prepared to pay to use the change room/bathroom (typically about $1USD). You will also be charged to use a beach chair. The beach vendors are extremely aggressive and will insist that you pay to use a chair, even if you don’t want one. The prices should always be negotiated as the initial price will be high.
Hands down the most beautiful place I've seen. Very friendly and hospitable, with plenty of variety shopping. Try the Piton Lager!
Usual hustle and bustle at the port. I have to say though that this was the most relaxed of them all. People were helpful providing you're willing to spend. Access to the outside area was quick and getting back to the ship was easy.
Would highly recommend stopping at the rum bar. Good value and great laughs with the staff.
Just don't miss your back on board time 😁
Great weather friendly people a beautiful place to visit.
Nice port beautiful island. People are friendly just like any tourist stop people try to sell everything, liked the island so much came back and spent a week.
Good for duty-free shopping
Such a beautiful island with plenty to enjoy. Can be a slight nuisance downtown.
Superb cruise terminal. Tourist information shop staff were very helpful. Locals were selling interesting, different, souvenirs
Arrived with a cruise ship and have confirmed what the cruise reviews have said... watch the panhandlers! Island is beautiful but a bit on the low end of the travel circuit.
Well kept, well organized, pretty busy terminal. People are friendly, helpful, professional. It has many shops, services. Starting point of several excellent tours.
arriving there with a Cruise Ship, nice Island to visit
Very interesting island to visit. Lots of duty-free shopping at the terminal, and more near by. Lots of local tour operators available with very competitive rates. Drivers are very knowledgeable and accommodating.
Nice port, to stay buy beer and go back to the cruise
