Royalton is a nice little oasis tucked away in St Lucia that I highly recommend. The people are so friendly and the view is wonderful. The whole resort has a great vibe and food and drinks are exceptional. This is not the best island for beaches, this is where it fell a little short for a family that likes to snorkel. If you want a destination to get away to relax, this is your resort.

Where do I start. From the second I entered to the time I left I was just amazed how welcoming and caring the staff was. My wife and I felt like kings and Queens, everyone was just so nice and everything about the resort was just amazing. I don’t drink alcohol nor do I eat any meat, every restaurant I went to they happily accommodated all my needs and the head chef would come out and tell me exactly how they are going to make our food. If I could manage time I would fly there once a year, but you best believe I’ll be coming back soon. I never write reviews but I was just blown away but the hospitality that I just want everyone to know that they are in good hands.

We came to Royalton for our honeymoon the service we were offered was phenomenal every employee was helpful and kind. It was very relaxing and stress free. We stayed at the hideaway and loved the pool and exclusive restaurant. The one thing we didn’t love was the air shuts off everytime a door is opened the sensors in our room didn’t work well so the air was always off. They did have maintenance on it right away when it happened but it happened to often. Other then that we loved Royalton!

Don't stay here! Hotel facility is very nicenice rooms, nice view, pools etc. BUTeverything that is advertised as available is conveniently not when you get there! Getting into one of the restaurants for dinner is a pain! Bartenders are the absolute worst! Never any water sports allowed, permanent red flag conditions even when the water is flat and calm. Everything is falsely advertised right down to the 'timeshare' type sales pitch they have you sit through. Our best days there were spent off the resort doing things we were able to control. While you're there you're stuck with all of the promised accommodations and service that has fallen far short of expectation. Thanks for ruining our honeymoon Royalton St. Lucia!

Lovely hotel. Service needs improving a bit to get the 5 stars but don't let the service deter you from what is otherwise a lovely hotel to stay at.

I think 1 star reviews are not realistic. You would be thinking you are staying in a dump if you award something one star. I think the general majority reviews and photos just don't reflect that.

Would not recommend this resort. To start with We booked an ocean view. Room. Our flight was delayed so we got there around six pm they told us they had given away our room so we had to take a room in a different building that was not what we booked without any explanation as to how that happened since I had already paid in full long before we arrived. They said we could change rooms the next day which we did but it totally interrupted our day the next day. As we were changing rooms and the chaos of having to move our things. We inadvertently left behind an item in the safe which was stolen by a staff person the security officer said he would investigate and get back to us but never did. The restaurants did not offer good service the wait was long and the quality of the food not great. Only the hideaway bars in the upgraded areas offered top shelf liquor there were few restaurants and the restaurants they did not offer a good variety. The staff for the most part were polite but the feeling was that underneath the veneer of politeness they resented us and their jobs. Saint Lucia is a very pretty volcanic island but don’t book this resort.

Beautiful resort with white sand beaches, several restaurants with great food. Kid and adult only sections available. Larger resort, but it doesn't feel overcrowded. Nearby town for nightlife. Further from airport but worth the trek.

Overall, the resort has a lot of potential. My wife and i stayed for our honeymoon at the beginning of November. The food was great knowing it would be challenging to keep both a vegetarian and a me who loves my steak. The issues we had was the room had a lot of small items that still needed to be fixed, such as no door knob on the bathroom door so you could see into the bathroom when the door was closed. The tub drain didn’t work. Decks under construction while we were their right outside of our room. The worst was being woken up in the morning by someone using power tools literally on the porch of your swim out suite. Watching as my wife is sitting outside on our porch of the suite sunbathing and seeing someone put a ladder in front of her(literally a foot or two) so they could paint blocking the sun.

I can see where some people may have rated this resort excellent, and some sub-par.

I am Not a frequent traveler to all inclusive resorts, so I have little to compare this too. With that being said, I thoroguly enjoyed my stay at the Royalton. I had a fantastic time, and loved the island of St. Lucia.

While there are things I would have changed, I would certainly travel back to St. Lucia and to the Royalton.

Positive:

Ambiance- the Royalton is one of the newer resorts on the island. Having seen other resorts while traveling up north from the airport, Id argue it’s gorgeous in comparison. The staff did a great job of keeping the resort very clean— someone was always picking up empty cups/trays/towels/etc.

Staff- very friendly and accommodating. Had a few room issues that were resolved immediately. Vibe Team is great (shout out to Edwina- my girl).

Food- In the restaurants, delicious. 6 restaurants to choose from and a buffet. Room service was also pretty good.
Personal favorites: armadillo Tex mex, gluten free pancakes from room service, jerk chicken from food truck.

Night life-something going on every night. Usually ends around 1030. Highly recommend going to the Street Fair on Friday Nights. Make sure you head to the beach and find Sheldon— he arranged to take a group of us to the street fair. For two young girls traveling, we surprisingly felt really safe out in the city of St. Lucia at night. All of the locals are very friendly, Sheldon kept an eye on us and took care of us throughout our stay.

Excursions- we didn’t get a chance to do it but I’d definitely do the Real Deal Boat Tour (through Sheldon). The hotel sends a hiking group to Pigeon Island (about 2 hours there and back) which is fun too. Zip lining through island tree top adventures was a lot of fun.
You’re able to sign out Kayaks, sail boats, paddle boards, and snorkels for free. $40 for 30 min jet ski (which is great to see the area outside the hotel).

Negative:

Staff: our room was on the 1st floor and we often heard a lot of noise early morning from staff and crew. Kind of annoying, trying to restock at early hours while still sleeping.

Food:
The buffet food was okay—
Good variety but food wasn’t super fresh/high quality. I wouldn’t say the food was bad. Late night there’s only room service and the score bar. There’s nothing really opened from 11am-12pm.

Entertainment: there’s not a whole lot to do on a day when it’s raining. Everything ends at 1030 and the score bar DJ is the only thing going on till 2am. If you’re looking for activities at the hotel, make sure you look at the board outside the buffet— seemed to be a lot of stuff for kids and teens but most times we weren’t sure what was going on without checking the board.

Miscellaneous-
-massages are very overpriced
-Nexus excursions through the hotel weren’t really on the same page in terms of knowing when and where tours were going out of. Not good communication between different nexus kiosks
-Building sales rep pushy about travel club when we first got to resort, ended up sitting in on 2 hour sales pitch for Travel Smart, which was a waste of time as the vacation club wasn’t worth the investment. We did get a 2500$ voucher for a trip for sitting through the sales meeting but we have yet to see if it’s able to be used.
-hotel is about an hour and a half from airport, recommend taking the helicopter flight north to hotel.

Amazing place . I was there for two weeks . In my opinion 1 week is probably the best . Restaurants are just the best . Steakhouse at the top of the list . Staff are super nice and friendly. Completely recommend it . I hope prices don’t go to high next year .

Amazing experience Thomson and first choice have been class we got to the airport and got upgraded flight was amazing got of the flight standing in the smoking area and talking to the flight staff (people smoke get over it) they were so friendly coach journey was super long but if you wanna head somewhere beautiful you suck it up
We arrived to find out they upgraded us to a swim up room having been to the royalton in Dominican and Mexico the rooms in general are lovely so a pleasant surprise to start our holiday
It's mine and my boyfriends birthday this holiday the staff have been so nice
Shermon aka hot speed has been amazing got us champagne on ice on my birthday
Overall rooms beautiful complex amazing spa awesome and food on point!

I booked a Air Canada Vacation package for myself and my wife. I have we been to 5 different resorts in the Caribbean. This is the place and this hotel. We never saw a unhappy face. People in general are extremely polite and attentive. Food is fantastic and hotel/rooms are clean and well kept.
However, it was our AIR CANADA driver ( MATHIAS) who made this trip a 10/10. This Air Canada driver who took us from the Airport to the hotel as well as on 3 different excursions. He in particular is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, informative, polite and caring as to our needs. WOW!
As foreigners to his country, we never felt out of placein fact we felt comfortable , safe at all timeswe felt at home.
He is actually ONE of the main the reasons we are going back!!
Good job Air Canada ..you know how to hire the right staff!!

One of the housekeepers stole a couple of hundreds dollars out of my purse that was hidden in my room. After I filed report, the security manager Christian Clarke blame another person in my room of stealing my money and said I should have put everything in the safe. These people are truly unprofessional and said I will not be getting my money back because his staff was not capable of stealing because she had a clean record.

That was the worst resort we stayed in . When you coming to the hotel you want to feel safe not here. After staying few days expensive sunglasses were stolen from my room . Still waiting for management to resolve issue . Reading previous reviews and hearing conversations in the hotel I see iam not the first one having these issue .So put everything in the safe even sunglasses and check often if you don't miss anything . The pool bar staff very slow. Many of them don't how to make simple drinks. Very often run out of tings like mint or lemonade. Buffet was nightmare for us . . Food didn't taste good and was cold Sometimes Pasta station didn't look fresh . Noodles looked very dry . Sometimes juices tasted like were mixed with water Only restaurants where you could eat something without afraid that you will have a stomach problem were Japanese , stake house , sports bar , beach truck with burgers . Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. .Evening entertainment not every day just music playing in the background . Pools not so good and sometimes dirty .Toilet next to the pool clocked almost for half a day and nobody even care.Broken jet ski, kayaks with holes that what they had in the resort. And take a flashlight with you, 2 times power went out in the room while kids were in the shower and they got really scared .
I would not recommend to anyone. I can't believe this place is getting good reviews . Definitely not 5 star hotel. Only positive thing was good weather and great boat trip that we took from the Exodus from the beach.

Stayed here for a week recently resort is beautiful and food was amazing most of the staff were friendly however there were some that were not.. didn't particularly like the time share or points system they signed us up for.. we did get a 50 resort credit which came I handy for the over priced pictures we had done but the 4 days free stay doesn't include all inclusive and kind of a waste really.. air and hotel packages are cheaper bought together. All in all it was a good trip and we will go back to st Lucia again for sure but may try a different resort next time..
