5 star diamond resortdelicious meals ..fruits, vegetables, greens from their organic farm..And freshly caught fish"catch of day right from the waters. Not forgetting impeccable service.
The most phenomenal views and service. However, we were asked if we belonged there. Lost a star for that. Also, no chance for locals to enjoy any of the resort's many amenities. Far and above overpriced and I'm sorry for that
Not only did I stay here, but I got married here as well! Everything was so amazing and beautiful. We can’t wait to go back. From the spectacular rooms, to the amazing hospitality they provide, we were in constant awe. It was so easy to get equipment for snorkeling, kayaks, paddle boards etc. all the restaurant options on the island were great and the ruins and historic places to go and see were fantastic. Can’t imagine a better resort experience. Literally just walls to take pictures up against were beautiful and unique. The architecture of this place is top notch. Just watch out for bugs that like the flames on the beach, ask for the most experienced spa technician for your services!
Visited only to snorkel. Lots of snorkel gear to rent. Beautiful snorkeling. Ate lunch afterwards, little pricey but good food. Strong drinks.
I went there is 2012 and it was amazing! The experience of the hospitality and edifice was breathtaking!
Saint Lucia (; French: Sainte-Lucie) is a sovereign island country in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary with the Atlantic Ocean. Part of the Lesser Antilles, it is located north/northeast of the island of Saint Vincent, northwest of Barbados and south of Martinique. Jade Mountain is a luxurious experience in communing with nature. The rooms are open to the spectacular views, the in-room infinity pools are delightful and the entire experience was truly memorable! A relaxing, pampered vacation!
One of the finest resorts I have ever visited. Everything about our stay was superb from the facilities to the staff.
This place is amazing The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. It really lives up to the hype. I can't clearly express in words how beautiful this resort is but what really sets Jade apart is the service. They know how to make you feel special and ensure that you are completely relaxed and in the ultimate vacation mode 24/7. Our butlers Ain and Al anticipated our every need! Whenever and whatever we needed, they were there to provide. The owners so courteously gifted each Saint Lucian Olympian a 2 night stay which speaks to the kind of people they are. I am so appreciative of this generosity I think the feelings I had whilst staying here are only matched by the feelings I felt at the opening ceremony in Rio. I can't say enough how lovely it was!
Clear blue water exotic fishes great for snorkeling
I visited Jade Mountain for my honeymoon in fall of 2017. We stayed in the STAR suite (or sanctuary), and enjoyed every minute of it!
The breath taking view is enough to make this stay worth it. The dedicated service takes it over the top. We go to 5 star resorts to feel special, and Jade Mountain made us feel like Royalty.
The environment presents a taste of wildlife by being in the middle of the mountains. The missing wall welcomes the sounds of birds, frogs, and other "natural musicians". Blended together by the calmy moving water of the infinity pool.
The food options are so extravagent that your taste buds will think they've died and gone to heaven. Leave your belt at home lol. They are accommodating to allergies as my wife is gluten sensitive. It was never an issue for them.
Definitely worth the 5 stars. They genuinely care about your experience. The staff is pleasant and will do whatever it takes to guarantee an enjoyable stay.
This hotel was great. We went for our 10th anniversary and we were pleased. Everything from the romantic room atmosphere and views. The service was also great essentially had a butler on call 24/7 that took care of all our needs from transportation to late night food on their amazing roof top. Thanks Okeda. We also had a private cooking lesson with chief Elijah which was WOW on their plantation. Great romantic hideaway..must try.
Ned was the most amazing waiter. If everyone is like Ned this must be the best service in the Caribbean. Great food, incredible view and beautiful grounds
We made a booking for our honeymoon and then found out about the Zika issues in St. Lucia (see the CDC website). If you are planning to get pregnant after you are married, you can't come here. Jade Mountain refused to refund any of our payment, take a credit for a future trip etc.
For a place that claims to have the best service, they are not helpful at all. I would recommend that you not get involved with these people.
Wonderful place..great staff
This hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff is so attentive and accommodating. Milan at the bar and Theo at the spa were two standouts. We also have a incredible major Domo, teddy, who took care of everything we could of asked for. All the major domos and all the staff made this stay memorable for us. The sanctuary felt more private then I thought. Without the fourth wall, you get an amazing view while still feeling like you have privacy. Can't wait to return.
WOW! its so hard to describe something that is so beautiful it's like a castle in a mountain in a dream tropical island it is so unique clean stuff for super nice the food is just so good you've got everything you could ask for in a resort here you have the amazing view of the pitons private pools in your rooms facing the ocean once you get there you'll see that there is nothing else you can compare to this.
Truly one-of-a-kind in the world. The design vision, the spacious open fourth wall sanctuaries of total privacy, the custom-tiled infinity pools, butler service, fine cuisine, and of course the Pitons view. The ultimate splurge. Do it.
Words can't express the luxury. It's faultless, magnificent, and truly a once in a lifetime experience. Having stayed in a lot of amazing hotels I can confidently say this beats them all. You will never forget that open view, your sanctuary and the old world service that goes with it. Paradise exists here.
Awesome but expensive!
This is where I work and love to meet guests from different countries.
This place is as luxurious as it gets if you are celebrating a honey moon or anniversary. Best hotel I've ever stayed at (among hundreds) and best vacation I've ever been on.
Everyone speaks English. Definitely just for couples since there are no walls to anything - open shower, bath tub, bed. It's just one large room. No windows, so that you can look out to the ocean, don't worry, the temperature is constant and doesn't get cold at night. We were there in January and just used a sheet to sleep at night. The view is magical - you see the two Pitons (mountain peaks) and the ocean. Some rooms have an endless pool (those pools that look like they blend into the horizon) and some don't. Mine didn't. I was on the bottom floor, great since I didn't have to climb so many stairs. Not so great because I could hear a cat crying at night (remember, no windows to close). Lush tropical jungle all around. It really was dreamy.
My room service and assigned butler was Mervin and he was awesome - patient, genuinely interested in our comfort and happiness. My review would be ridiculously lengthy if I went into all the things he went out of his way to do for us during the week we were there. I was there in 2014, wish I had written this review right away, so I could remember more details. I was there on an all inclusive trip, and considering the price of the dinner being over $100 and even $180 on one of the nights, it may be worth it to get the all inclusive package and be able to eat to your heart's content. The description and pictures on their website are just like the place really looks. It feels magical. The pricey (over $100 per meal) restaurant was the best food I have also ever had. Decorative, chef-prepared meals. Very fresh and high quality everything. All the meat was prepared and cooked very professionally. Sometimes it would take a while - about 45 min- to receive the food, but it was being prepared fresh by a chef! The ceviche was the best I have ever had! Varied menu every day, with a few options to choose from. If you are looking for a more affordable menu, there are restaurants at the hotel below Jade Mountain called Anse Chastanet and down even further on the beach.
Only three issues I had the whole week I was there. First, walking up to Jade Mountain is quite a hike. They have a "shuttle" which is an SUV that drives you up, but there is no way to page that SUV, so you have to wait until it comes around. You can also walk, but unless you are an athlete, you will be sore by the end of the week.
I was sore the whole time I was there because on my second day I climbed the pitons, and unfortunately they paired me and my husband with these two Swiss guys who were hikers (Swiss Alps hikers!!!) so they almost ran up the Pitons, and it took us 2 hours to hike it as fast as we could to catch up to them. If you plan to take that tour/paid hike with a guide - ask to go alone and not be grouped with anyone else. I would have done this if I had known. I guess they paired us up so they could keep more of the $ we paid for that tour to themselves, as they would have to pay each guide for hiking up with us. My last and final issue was the restaurant by the beach. One of the servers told me I couldn't come inside "like that" instead of explaining to me that I couldn't enter with a bathing suit and that I needed to be clothed. I never understood why. If you are directly on the beach, people will inevitably be in a bathing suit.
Free bath towels available at the beach, cocktails served at the beach (although they take a while to arrive, like 20 min) and free snorkel gear to snorkel. There is also a smaller and more secluded beach a little walk away, or you can pay some of the random guys with small boats to taxi you there, only around $10. There is a burger/fries small restaurant at that secluded beach, so don't worry about taking food.
Hotel room - majestic sanctuary
employees - excellent
food - incredible
Jade Mountain offers a unique experience which I cannot wait to get back to. My wife and I were there for a romantic getaway and that is exactly what was provided. The location is remote, exotic, and hot. The staff extremely courtious, friendly and attentive. Each room really is a private sanctuary, just like advertised. This resort offers 3 distinct things which while I have heard of in other places, I haven't (a) seen all together or (b) experienced them so wall executed.
First, is the view of the Pitons across Soufriere Bay which is just amazing and cannot be found anywhere else. Maybe a few of the places at the sister resort Anse Chastanet come close, being co-located but at lower elevations, but it's just not the same.
Second, are the rooms themselves which feature an infinity pool suitable for swimming in, luxury touches all around, and a unique open floorplan. A note on expectations for these rooms: Each open floorplan sanctuary has only 3 walls leaving the space exposed to the elements as well as geckos, bugs and birds. There is no method for closing off this space. No storm doors, windows, sliding partitions nada. Don't let the open element scare you away however. The rooms are luxurious, extremely well appointed and very private. For some this sounds like a really expensive form of camping, but it isn't. I hate camping. Camping doesn't have a 24/7 butler service, in-room wifi, magical shower, Jacuzzi tub, king-sized bed (with mosquito netting which your nightly turn down service will spray and set up for you each night).
Despite the missing wall (and the fact that the only door in the place is the one out to the main walk ways) the room is very private thanks to a brilliant application of viewing angle-aware architecture.
Finally, execution. If luxury is your thing (and really, how could it not be once in a while?) Jade Mountain has it in spades.
All patrons at Jade Mountain have a butler on duty 24/7 for anything you want or need. This includes room service, setting up day trips, events, reservations, spa treatments, getting items from the on-site store (even if it's closed at the time). You get a cell phone for use on the island which connects you to the person currently on duty for you. Each member of this team is a certified Butler and we really felt a connection with each of them we encountered. We had the pleasure of working with 4 different folks over the course of our stay and we enjoyed the service each provided.
The food at the Jade Club restaurant (which supplies room service as well) is top notch. We were on an all-inclusive plan, but when we saw the "bill" the prices were extremely reasonable for this level of dining. The Beach Bar and restaurant were similarly high quality and well priced.
Each person we encountered on the Jade and Anse Chastanet staff were attentive, friendly and appeared to really enjoy their jobs. This was true for the Chocolate Lab Supervisor who gave us a tasting tour of chocolates made on-site, the bartender who provided a mixology class using different island-made rums, to each and every driver, food runner, waiter, waitress, and housekeeper.
My wife and I fully intend to make use of the Anniversary gift certificate for a return trip.
