comfortable, tidy place with friendly staff
The best thing about this lodging was the customer service. Excellent friendly and warm staff. The rooms seemed quite okay as well. Unfortunately there was a mouse in my room during my stay and there was no possibility to move to another empty room that late at night. I would recommend there being a spare key for at least one other room in case of an emergency like this. Regardless, I standby my review about good customer service.
Very peaceful and quiet
Habitat is magnificent for the nature lover traveler. I love sitting in their gardens especially under the calabash tree. It is a small property but so very very much like home. Walk with tour wrinkle free clothing because the house iron will burn your clothes for sure.
Warm host makes you feel at home. Staff members are equally as hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely, quiet hotel. Away from the touristy type of areas. If you like to explore you will need a car to get around or if you are patient you can walk to the bus stop and wait. The van number is 1E. It has a large yellow sticker to identify it at the top of the windscreen.
A cosy home away from home.
Homely and staff are very nice and respectful
Nice views, quiet location. Helpful owner and staff always ready to help and advise.
Very clean, friendly staff. Good amenities for the price. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
Lovely place, great service and clean surroundings
Cheryl and her staff were the best! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our 9 day stay at Habitat Terrace.
The property is pretty, well maintained and inviting. Our room was on the first floor, directly off the lobby and across from the breakfast room. I was initially concerned that we would experience noise, but it was not an issue. In fact, we were able to sleep as late as we wanted without being disturbed.
Our space had a full sized kitchen, large dining room and master suite. The full sized kitchen had everything you’d expect: refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher, cabinets for storage, can opener, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, knife set, corkscrew, bottle opener, etc. We had immediate access from the kitchen to the back garden area which included the pool, chairs and cushioned benches. Unfortunately due to our busy day excursion schedule we were not able to enjoy the pool.
Breakfast was delicious and varied. Emily prepared everything to order and was a great cook! It was very convenient having breakfast right there at the hotel.
The location of the property was really good. It was nice being a 5 minute drive from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be convenient to everything in Rodney Bay/Gros Islet. The neighborhood is well maintained and safe. We were able to travel all over the island from the hotel on our many day trips. Driving through Castries during rush hour was nerve racking, but manageable.
Before our daily outings Cheryl was always happy to give us insider advice on seeing the sights and traveling to other parts of the island. When we returned from sightseeing (usually late at night) Colin the friendly security man was always there to greet us and help us with our things if needed.
I highly recommend staying in Rodney Bay/Gros Islet if you visit St. Lucia and Habitat Terrace Hotel specifically. The room rate was very reasonable and would highly recommend.
