To be honest, La Plaka USED to be one of our favorite places to go around Tripoli. However, they stopped developing their food & service. The last 2 times I went there, the food tasted average or below. The staff, too, were lost for an unknown reason More than 3 waiters served our table and took the order more than twice!

I hope they do a comeback soon.

Had very nice experience with friends. The restaurant has international cousin with indoor and outdoor seating. The garden seating is enjoyable during good weather. The staff are very well educated and knowledgeable about the menu. They were very professional and attentive.

La Plaka is one of the first restaurants in Tripoli of to be among the international cuisine category. There are indoor and outdoor seating and it is upscale, and the design and decorations are very nice. The outdoor area is also very nice during good weather conditions. The menu is rich, and almost everything on the menu is tasty. The staff are usually nice, welcoming snd attentive.
One big negative issue I would like to address and the reason why I gave La Plaka a 3 star rating is "Smoking in the no smoking area". When the restaurant first opened, the right section of the indoor area used to be designated as no-smoking area and that's why we used to prefer this restaurant. But when I visited it this year, I found they are allowing customers to smoke in it and it was really annoying.

Nice environment, multiple places to sit each are unique ranging from garden, non smoking indoor, smoking indoor and high level seating with a view. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly
