A holy place where you can feel how Christianity was 1500 years ago ☦

An engineering wonder. They built this on a basically vertical setting.

One of the best Orthodox monasteries in the middle east in terms of spiritual life. Spiritual descendants of saint Paiisios the Athonite. Constantly referred to as the small Mount Athos

The road towards the monastery should be improved, it's full of stones which makes it unsafe especially as you walk back down. Other than that it's a very nice experience including the hike to the monastery.

After an uphill hike for 40 minutes, you arrive to Hamatoura Monastery. It's tiring but worth it. You will be able to see a unique view! The churches are beautiful, and what's better is the silence. Recommended! Just make sure not to go there on Monday, Wednesday and Friday because they close the doors and you won't be able to get in.
