Small unique recently refurbished French colonial house which has three rooms available. Rooms are large and beautifully designed keeping much of original style. Two bathrooms outside near rooms is no problem as hotell is small. The outdoor bathroom is great and invigorating for a morning shower. The owner is very friendly, helpful and proud of the property. Downstairs great for a beer or wine and good food is available. Hotel is situated very close to bars and restaurants in the old French section of Savannakhet

Best stay we had on our 4 weeks Lao Travel. Really big hearted owner. The best place to stay in Savannakhet, no doubt.

Absolutely the place to stay in savannakhet, two minutes to the river and such a fantastic host, lovely French theme hosted by such a lovely French man, perfect for you're visa run or just a relaxing break,

Nico and his partner have created a lovely ambience in this cleverly restored colonial building.
Shared bathrooms were not a problem.
Beds were extremely comfortable.
Location is excellent as you are in the heart of the historical quarter and 50 yards from the night market.

Un endroit à vivre quand vous irez à Savannakhet. ne passez pas à côté sans vous arretez. le mélange ancien et contemporain est vraiment reussi.
Qui plus est , un soin particulier a été apporté à la literie.
Une salle d'eau exterieure vous fera envie de prendre 10 douches par jour.

Great rustic style Guest house but a modern touch in the background.
Nico the Owner is super laid back that fills the whole hotel with the same felling.
Nico will help you with just about anything and you get the feeling that he really enjoys you being around and looks like he loves the experience of the Guest house.
There is very fast WiFi, only 3 rooms so I would suggest booking (in the near future it will be hard to get a room) Nico told me he is working on a new project that will also be open soon.
There is 2 shared bathrooms one is a outside open air shaower and is a lovely refreshing experience that fits right in on the Guest house vibe. The shared bathrooms really are not a problem as there is only limited people staying here.
There is a bar and sitting area with a hippy sort of feel, with great relaxing music playing away all day in the background.
Nico has food and there is a night market just outside the door that sells all kinds of street food. It does not make enough noise to disturb the Guest house.
There is a great place called Lyn Cafe one minute down the road where you will 100% find something you want on the menu. (Western, Thai, Loas) This just adds to the easyness of the Guest house.
This place is perfect for people like myself doing visa runs or people who want to just relax for a week in great little town.
I myself stayed in Mukdahun the night before my visa, but next time I will defiantly be coming to Loas and spending the 2 nights here.
