  I am not staying here as a guest. I came for the nightly showing of Chang, A Drama Of The Wilderness. It's a 1927 documentary movie made in Siam. It requires a purchase of a drink, since that is a given I came early to have the other drink and an appetizer.
  Wow what a place, glad I dressed up, I hate it when the waiters are better dressed then me.
  They are very posh here and rightly so. Beautiful buildings and gardens, great music in the bar area. Plus they give a mosquito coil and peanuts with the drink. It does overlook the Mekong River so expect the mosquitos visiting.
  Final note this is review is written before seeing the movie but the movie is shown under the stars so long sleeves and long pants should help on protection from the mosquitos. Movie show time is 7PM.

  I booked this hotel for my holiday times at Pi Mai in Luang Prabang. It is so excited to be there, one of few hotels in the world that were once Royal Palaces.

  Lovely boutique hotel in this lovely city. Great rooms and lovely staff, though slightly away from the centre of town, only a short walk to most of the sights.

  Friendly staff but many ground floor rooms are gloomy and musty. Good location near one of the older temples of the same name. No pool. Good view from breakfast terrace. Outdoor movie projection which sadly never changes.
