The sales person could not be bothered to help, not cheap, very poor English, you're much better off looking somewhere else

Nice staff helpfull and all gave us a really good price for kayaking and tubeing through one of the caves, it lasted about 3h, the guide was a really nice chatty man, liked to play around and make jokes wich made the trip all the more fun, this nice package went for 100.000kip excellent price for the poor student backpacker

They booked the sleeper bus for us from vang Vieng to luang Prabang and let us leave our luggage with them after hotel checkout Good thing is they have a massage place so you can have a massage while you wait for the bus

There are about a zillion compagnies that offer tours around Vang Vieng. We chose VLT on the basis of the reviews here and on Google maps. We wanted a bespoke tour, that was not specifically in the books, but was arranged easily at the booking office. Officially we did a half day tour, visiting the Tham Noi and Tham Loup caves, followed by 15 km of canoeing.
We were picked up around 0900 from our guesthouse by songthaew, picked up canoes and lunch en went to the caves. We started out with 7 people, but a Singaporean just went for the short kayak tour, two other Dutch girls went most of the way together with us. Every group had it's own guide.
We started out at the caves. Tham Loup is slightly more challenging than Tham Noi, but both are certainly doable.
Then followed luncheon. Our guide Thau barbecued skewers and they were served with rice, bread and bananas.
After that we went for the kayaking. Materiel was good and after a short instruction we set of with Thau and my wife in one kayak and me and my son in the other. As it hard started to rain very hard, my daughter chose not to kayak and she was brought back to our hotel by songthaew.
We got very very wet during our two hours on the river, because it rained very very hard. Thau guided us expertly through the rapids and although our muscles were a little sore afterwards, it was an excellent trip. The kayaking ended around the corner of our guesthouse, around three o'clock. So that was almost a full day of activity at a very good price expertly executed by Thau and VLT. ThanKs!

We got a minivan from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang through the new road. Even though we were only 4 people in the van, since they had promised before, they still made the journey and it took only 3.5 hours (although I thought the driver was a little too fast).

The girl in the desk was really nice and much more honest than many other agencies. Another agency (TLC - just across Real Backpackers 2) totally screwed us with a fake bus. We fortunately got our money back and went to VLT. It ended up cheaper in VLT than TLC :)
