Beautiful, comfy slow boat on the Mekong and the service was great. Nice alternative to the less comfortable public but and the much more expensive high end cruises

I booked this cruise because I didn't want to worry about the quality of traveling down the river for 2 days and I really wanted to enjoy the cruise. I wanted to relax and have fun. This cruise is the most expensive option that I saw. That being said, this is one of the worst memories for me of my vacation in Laos. I made the reservation with a local agent. She told me that the tour did NOT include accommodation. I thought that's fine. She said I will be picked up at 9am the next morning. Cool. Well, 9am comes and no one is there. I go to the agent and she calls and says they're on their way. They arrived at 9:20 to get me and I didn't get to have breakfast because I was waiting at 9 and thought I would have time to get something at the pier (according to the agent there were places at the pier). If I had a more accurate time, I could've gotten something before rather than standing around for more than 30 minutes. Well, after arriving at the pier the guide told me that he actually had come at 7am to the hotel to tell me the pickup time, but I was still sleeping. Actually, I was awake. Come to find out, he just didn't know my name! Why did he even come? I have no idea. He and I ended up getting into an argument because he told me that the lady who sold me the tour ripped me off because the accommodation was supposed to be included. A quick search of the website says the price I pay does not include it. The guide had me get on the boat and as I was trying to figure out what was going on, he come over and he just instigated the argument with me. Then, he said he was going to have the boat pull off to the side and drop me off. IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!!!! I had paid $155 for this trip and he wasn't holding my money out to me. I was pretty angry. He asked me what I wanted to do and I said I need to get to Luang Prabang and I've already paid, so of course I want to continue. He then literally said it's my fault because I booked this trip with an agent and not with him that we're having this problem. I got really angry at this as well because this was not my fault at all and he's blaming me. He threatened to dump me off at the side of the river again and I told him that if he's going to do that he needs to give me my F***ing money back right now. That actually shut him up. What really happened is that this tour guide had no idea what he was talking about. I got exactly what the agent told me and I agreed to. The tour guide failed to communicate the pickup time with me and he gave me incorrect information and then he was a jerk when things went south. I would totally not recommend this company as this is a really bad memory for me and I paid a lot of money to ensure this wouldn't happen.

2 day cruise from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai. Very nice comfortable boat. Awesome views. Great way to enjoy and experience the Mekong

Had a very relaxing 2-day cruise from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai. Great scenery. Going up river makes less stops (due to the current), but the boat was largely empty. Boat was spotless and comfortable. Staff and guide were great. Food was tasty. Takes you right to the border and onward into Thailand (if you arrange). Super time!

Great Cruise. Everyone on board really enjoyed themselves. The food was top notch even had vegetarian options. Had 12 people so there was lots of room to spread out. Have to remove a star because they are the only company that doesn't offer more help in thailand (no customs papers or transfers to the border) plus they scam you for accommodations. This alone made us not want to choose this company. Wanted to charge 40USD for dp house (which they own) book online cost 22USD.

Our guide met us at the Laos border and made the border crossing easy. The boat was spacious and comfortable, plus lunch was delicious. Overnight accommodations were excellent. This was a great experience.

We booked last minute, and despite being told it was full, found only 14pax for a 40 capacity boat. However the service and food was faultless, except for one hiccup about the transfer to Chiang Rai. Be sure to organize the transfers proper, or suffer some anxieties as we did. The cruise, overall, was simply amazing.

Eine sehr gute Wahl um nach Houah Xai (Grenzübergang nach Thailand - Chiang Khong) zukommen und das gleich mit den Pak Ou Höhlen und einem Besuch in einem Khmong Dorf zu verbinden. Anders kommt man entweder gestresst an (rappelvolle Boote, wenn auch 2/3 günstiger) oder man hat das doppelte bis 4-fache an Geld ausgegeben.
