The location is very good, the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. We had a floating bungalow which was nice to have the river in front when looking out of the bed. But overall the hotel is overpriced, if you invest some time (we were too lazy), you'll find a better vakue for money.

Great hotel. The French Suite are very spacious and well equipped with a big bathroom, airco, fan, fridge, safe, and comfortable beds. The restaurant looks nice, but is a bit simple in terms of the breakfast that is served; bit too much on the Western side with eggs and pancakes, not a lot of Asian choices, besides the delicious fruit.
Staff around the hotel is very friendly.
Lots of shops, restaurants and bicycle rent nearby.

    Such a total disappointment! (Theft)

I will start this review of with saying that the little vault in the room did not work and so we handed our valuables, being a laptop and a passport pouch with some documents and money in it, to the reception. They state that this is the only way they are accountable for anything missing. And yet when we got our pouch back some of the money bills I had been collecting throughout my trip across all different countries had been STOLEN from it. This was including Thai Bath, USD, Vietnam Dong, Malaysian Ringget and Laos Kip.
I had carefully cataloged all the different bills that I collected just before I handed it to them so I know for sure some have been stolen. We only discovered when we were already underway to Bangkok in Thailand because we TRUSTED them, seems to be our mistake.

The monetary value is not that high but still, this were souvenirs I will never be able to get back. The fact that we handed it to them for safe keeping and now conclude that things are missing is just painful. This is utterly unacceptable for any hotel, let alone of their stature.

Secondly, we had booked one of the rooms in the back row of the french studios. For us the luxury aspect of the room was of little concern, the main attraction being the lovely view when the sun rises in the morning and lights up the room and terrace.
Thus we were disappointed when it turned out that they had not locked our reservation in the system and we would have to choose another room. An upgrade they said, the room was indeed bigger and in beautiful french style but sadly had almost no windows and the terrace was locked in with no view on the garden. Of our three night stay only on the last one were we able to change and enjoy the view we booked for.

Staff is overall still quite friendly and we did not have any reason to suspect wrong doing and so trusted them. The place is clean and well managed.
Breakfast could be better, but seeing the remote location I was still happy with it. Only if you don't like eggs there is little else to choose from.

The place is beautiful but sadly they will never see us again.

The floating bungalows are what drew me and they proved just as charming as advertised, especially to watch the floating little leaf 'boats' of the Ock Pansa festival. Relatively spacious and private with a fresh water swimming pool as an extra treat.
