My Girlfriend and I rented a small bike from Remote Asia so we wouldn't be tied to buses to get around Laos. This wound up being the BEST trip we've ever taken, bar none. James gave us fantastic advice, and suggestions for places to visit. In retrospect, with the two of us and backpacks on one bike, we should have gotten a bigger bike (as James suggested) rule of thumb: trust James. The man knows his business. Renting the bike was simple, and James was available by cell phone when the unexpected (aka Laos) happened, and the adventure of a lifetime is what we've got for memories. I can't wait to go back and do it again.

I have just completed a solo ride with Remote Asia Motor Cycles in Laos. I did this over a period of 10 days, covering over 1300 K's and 7 locations on one of Jim's CRF250's. All I can say about the entire experience is "Awesome".
Everything, including, kit, bike performance (which was flawless) to pre-ride, during ride and post ride support by Jim and his Team was nothing short of exceptional.
Jim has an "easy professionalism" that contributes an overall great experience and instills early confidence that, this is going to be a great ride. And it was, so much so, I now have a group of friends that want to come back next year and do a similar ride with me and Remote Asia.
So if your considering doing a ride through Asia, Look up Remote Asia, you won't be disappointed.

I have rented motorbikes from James twice -- once in Laos in 2015 (CRF250) and recently in Cambodia (BAJA). The service was excellent -- motorbikes delivered on time, in excellent condition, with complete toolkit, and everything required for a smooth trip. Highly recommended! I will be a returning customer for sure.

We had a great trip around Laos on great bikes, 1 xr250, 1xr400 and two mean DRZ400s. James was very professional and offered an excellent service and support when we needed him. James was very welcoming and personable. He took the time to explain a lot of tips and tricks for Laos, as well as providing and detailing a 2 weeks trip using a GT Adventure Rider Map. James provided around the clock support for the issues and challengers a self guided tour in south east Asia can bring. I will definitely use RemoteAsia in the future and our group is deeply grateful for the support and mate-ship James provided. 5 star service.

I rented CRF250s with a friend for an awesome 10 day trip around northern Laos. The bikes were in great shape and by far the best rentals we saw in the country.

James was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process. He transported us to and from his place, spent a bunch of time on route planning, and was available on the phone when we wanted advice.

Bikes were great, country is great, Lao people are great

The only thing that tried to spoil my trip was the attitude of James at Remote Asia Travel. If he is serious about running a business, he should employ someone who understands the concept of customer service and not personally deal with the customers at all.
