  We extended our stay in Luang Namtha to go to the 2 days trekking / 1 day kayaking and it was the best decision ever : the 3 days were awesome. The trek was very nice, we went through the Nam Ha national reserve. The rhythm was perfect : a bit challenging but with regular stops to get some tricks from the jungle, take a bath in a river, or taste some gift from nature. Our guides were amazing, they made us discover the jungle as a playground, they gave us a lot of explanations and cooked for us delicious traditional meals. The kayaking day was really great too. You can observe the local life from the river and the nature is really beautiful. About the nights we spent one night camping and one night homestay and it was really perfect. We definitely recommend the agency, so far it was our best experience in Laos!

  We did 3 day trek Survival camp & lanten homesay and it's was awesome. we sleep a little hut near the river learn a lot about plant in the forest and eat many difference thing from the jungle and the Guide from ethnic travel laos was very great is well.

  The way into the nature and culture of Laos
  
  We wanted to know real Laos, to see real life of people, to take a part in their life, to discover untouched nature. And it became possible for us with Ethnic Travel.
  We took part in a 2 day trekking in jungle and ethnic villages. And what a two days they were!!!
  We walked up and down through the deep jungle and we were surprised to see so much green and water even during the dry season. Such a beautiful landscape!
  Sometimes the hills seems never ending, but the reward after a good hike, and one of the highlights of the trip, is the evening in a local village and having a well deserved swim in a river with local children. What can be better than to feel yourself child again?!
  Our guide showed us some eatable jungle plants, tree used to make paper, plants used to make different colours, made us some bamboo walking sticks when we asked for it, stopped whenever we saw butterflies and spiders, always helped to take the leeches off our bodies (damn leeches!), and prepared a picnic on banana leaves. And also he show us mushrooms which we can gather for dinner. We asked a lot of questions thar our guide could reply to.
  The most important thing for Laos that make it special and not look like to other countries - is their culture which is not changed.
  And if you are lucky one you even can take part in their shamanic rituals. We didn't have such opportunity this time. But hope to see it another time.
  We were very impressed after this two days. We even could help locals to make their new house. Because the most important thing for us is not only see their life, but take a part in it.
  We think that two days are not enough, so we recommend to stay more time.
  We hope to come here again and join to other trekking tours for more long time.
  If you are nature lover and want see real culture of Laos then this company is for you. We realy recommend it. A great experience for us and for you, we hope.
  And prices are also good. )))
  Whatever we will write here will not realy describe all that things which you can see by yourself!!!

  My worst trekking experience ever !
  They don't go to the national park, you are going to sleep in a very poor village, directly on the ground without mattress nor blanket.
  Villagers seem to be really unhappy to see you as they probably don't pay them.
  The hike is long and uninteresting mostly going thru rubber tree plantations.
  Guide do not have any knowledge about the culture and habits of the region, they all come from south Laos.
  Best to be avoided
